Laws after getting stopped by Charlton flew up to Super middleweight.

mike's just not that good unfortunately, wouldve been nice to see him beat the big mouth

still would expect him to beat harley though, that would be a good fight for him to get back on the table

Only seen highlights so far so impossible to draw any firm conclusions, however, in those clips shown Hennessy jnr looked decent letting his hands go with combos. Laws looked aggressive.

It’s all a bit Tommy Fury-esque in here tho isn’t it?

Reading this thread you’d be sure Hennessy would knock Laws ‘spaaarrrrk out’ or give him an absolute boxing lesson and clearly 80-72 him. But he’s gone and lost a close one where the ref has picked the guy who’s landed the more windmilling shots rather than the volume.

Come on. Joe frigging Laws on 2 weeks notice. If you win a close scrap (let’s argue Hennessy got the decision) then that isn’t indicative of a guy going on to win even Area titles. Laws was fighting at welterweight a few years ago.

ya sure is some mick jr love fest

tbf that prob speaks to his character and im sure he's a cool dude, but absolutely ordinary as a pro regardless of whatever he did in the ams. losing to joe laws at super middle is something. still im sure he'd clown harley benn and beat 99 percent of promoters' sons

Lol you sure about that metric? Who are the promoter’s sons that are fighting?

Hennessy Jnr saying he's taking time out of the ring .

Seems like a decent kid but obviously found his level.

deffo, says he's been fighting since 11/12. Not a natural fighter, all credit to him for pursuing it though. Not moaning in the interview either, refreshing.

I expect he will tap into his dads experience and come back as either a manager or a promoter.

I thought he won it but I thought he won it 5-3 or so. Rylan Charlton is a lightweight and stuck Laws on his backside 3 times before stopping him early. And no offence to Charlton but he is around English title winning level at 135-140.
