I don't believe any of the rumours. They have probably been created to try and get Uysk to think he is boxing a washed up, vulnerable fighter when, in fact, sparring might be going really well etc.
I thought Ngannou pulled a similar stunt. He looked terrible on the pads in the build up to the Fury fight but then looked very shape and switched on in the changing rooms on fight night. There was definitely a clear difference.

This is useful info, as It’s been scientifically proved than company Johnny speaks 100% bollocks, so logic says Fury has been sparring well.Controversial wrote: ↑30 Jan 2024, 09:57 Johnny Nelson in an interview today saying he's hearing rumours that Fury is getting bashed up in sparring and getting dropped. He’ll be too freakishly big for Usyk I think, but it’s got a lot of variables this one

Yep, all the rumours mean little. I remember reading that Evander Holyfield looked absolutely awful when training for the first Mike Tyson fight and looked what happened there.MightyWarrior wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 07:35This is useful info, as It’s been scientifically proved than company Johnny speaks 100% bollocks, so logic says Fury has been sparring well.Controversial wrote: ↑30 Jan 2024, 09:57 Johnny Nelson in an interview today saying he's hearing rumours that Fury is getting bashed up in sparring and getting dropped. I think it’s fair to say it’s probably physiologically impossible for Fury to go from the Ngannou version to peak form in 3 months. Those days must be long gone now. It’s a question of whether an 80% Tyson Fury can beat Usyk. It seems a reach!

I do think a lot of the issue with Ngannou was mindset though, he underestimated him and was looking past him and likely trained just enough to get stamina fit. We should see a better version assuming he isn’t completely shot now.polecateddy wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 08:10 I think it’s fair to say it’s probably physiologically impossible for Fury to go from the Ngannou version to peak form in 3 months. Think they must off liked what they saw , and Tyson really fancies his chances after the DD -Usyk fight , other wise it would'nt be happenning , moneys a big issue for Fury but he's not frightened off turning it down either , DD was a tester thrown to the wolfs so to speak and there confident , otherwise there would of been a pullout.
But in all honesty has good has Ysyk is , Chisors shown go for him you can nulfy him , DD shown he's nor so strong around the body , to me it really is a 50-50 fight I believe one is very capable of stopping the other , just not sure which one , is gonna do it , but i don't think it will go the distance

Don't know so much , if he did'nt take time off after Ngannou , its possible , he's been boxing his whole life , he certainly did'nt look like he'd fully trained for Ngannou , but if that was a snow job and just considered the start of an intensive regime , he could well be in condition , . Usyk will have to make him work to tire him out , because at a slow pace Tyson will do it standing on his head , But has Usyk got enough to make Tyson work hard or will he get pushed about , hit with Big body shots , and slowed down himself ,Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 08:38polecateddy wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 08:10 I think it’s fair to say it’s probably physiologically impossible for Fury to go from the Ngannou version to peak form in 3 months. Anything to do with Fury is a mystery , thats why he makes so much money , he's a fella who only ever seems to do just enough , with Tyso you just never know , what your gonna get , i really doubted this would go ahead now i can't wait .

Fury has never turned down this type of money .. ever. I do remember him forgetting about giving money to charity and the bet he made to Piers Morgan.
Its been said that Usyk intentionally fought well within himself so AJ or Fury wouldn`t be scared off. I think there is an element of truth in that - Usyk was certainly in full control before halfway and didn`t get banged up.
When Fury fought Ngannou he most likely wasn`t fight fit as youd expect a top fighter to be, but the concern was he didn`t demonstrate the skills you`d have expected against a guy having his boxing debut ... and of course the bigger concern was how a glancing punch that looked a nothing punch actually put Fury over. Ngannou has never demonstrated that ability in the octagon with much smaller gloves has he.

Re: Tysons , condition
All the above is what makes this one so interesting , did Tyson train for Ngannou , or did he take it easy , is Ngannou better than we all thought or has Fury declined , was Ngannou's strenght , and size plus his natural power a big shock or was Fury careless ,, If we knew the answers we could predict for sure ,tonyevs wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 12:24I not so sure.coneye wrote: ↑31 Jan 2024, 08:18 Think they must off liked what they saw , and Tyson really fancies his chances after the DD -Usyk fight , other wise it would'nt be happenning , moneys a big issue for Fury but he's not frightened off turning it down either , DD was a tester thrown to the wolfs so to speak and there confident , otherwise there would of been a pullout.

I think another big question mark is Furys trainer , sugar , for the Wilder fights he was perfect , Tyson needed to use his strenght , and size to bully and dominate the smaller man , he needed to fight the excact way sugar teaches , , but that style is not going to work against everyone , especielly if they can match you for size and strenght , Fury besides size will need mobility against Usyk , has sugar been working on this , is sugar capable of working on this who knows , thats why i can't wait till the 17th ,
Re: Tysons , condition
I doubt Fury has trained as he should since his comeback. His physique kinda demonstrates that .. it's just his level of opponents since he came back have enabled him to get away with it.coneye wrote: ↑01 Feb 2024, 00:53

I looked though Ngannous wins in MMA. He certainly showed punching power when he landed, but never from glancing punches as he did against Fury; that for me is the most significant concern.
I know as I got older the punches really began to hurt more .. it's kinda weird saying that, you obviously felt them before .. but last going off the punches actually hurt.
Fury looked desperate and pathetic as he literally ran to grab Ngannou .. he'd never looked that desperate before when clinches; are the punches hurting him more now?
Wilder was/is shit .. let's clear that up. There was suspicion of him being protected before .. Bellew got into an argument with him before and claimed a win over a one legged Haye was better than anything Wilder had beaten .. hindsight tells us Bellew was actually correct.coneye wrote: ↑01 Feb 2024, 00:53 I think another big question mark is Furys trainer , sugar , for the Wilder fights he was perfect , Tyson needed to use his strenght , and size to bully and dominate the smaller man , he needed to fight the excact way sugar teaches , , but that style is not going to work against everyone , especielly if they can match you for size and strenght , Fury besides size will need mobility against Usyk , has sugar been working on this , is sugar capable of working on this who knows , thats why i can't wait till the 17th ,
Fury knew after the first Wilder fight how to beat him. He would have felt the benefit of his weight advantage over the much lighter and slim framed/legged Wilder. In the Usyk fight weight advantage alone won't be enough - Usyk will have a plan for that, so Fury needs a game plan.
I just don't think Fury is fit or skilled enough to execute a game plan to beat Usyk .. Fury simply has never fought the level of opposition to prepare for that, and abused his body the last few years also.
Fury and Wilder were the perfect partnership for each other. They lived off each other - yet had nothing of value outside of that.

Hugged him into boredom.
There cannot be a single rational observer of the sport that believes Nelson would beat Usyk.
He would have the same chance as me against Lennox Lewis.
