I know he gets a lot of s**t because of his work with DAZN, but Boxing with Chris Mannix is really decent. He rotates between the top American boxing beat writers, and you always get some good insight you don't hear on other podcasts.

Just got a free ticket to see Bunce doing his live podcast with Josh Warrington in Leeds on March 19. Hoping it's a good night, his one in Belfast was superb but the most recent one in Cromer wasn't great
Was this any good? I had tickets too, but cancelled upon re-thinking I couldn't sit there and listen to Ebanie Bridges for 2 hours.

Boxing Asylum pod is the GOAT, been listening to it for the last 10 years, though I do feel lads enthusiasm has waned a little bit, needs Ozzy Smith back on there again, Rob Kelly is always good for talking about Andy Lee and fights that happened 5-10 years ago.
Cheers for the kind words. Yeah, it does get more difficult each time a voice drops off or drifts away, but what can you do?

I don’t normally like the lads chatting ones cos I can’t help but think it’s disrespectful when they’re calling world champs a bum.
I get what you're saying here completely, but I think there's room for all sorts. Some go too far of course and that's not right, but independent pods can cut through the bullshit and say what everyone else is really thinking.
Listening to ex-pros is great to soak up their experiences and avail of tactical knowledge and insight but some are prize rim lickers and you can't really trust them completely due to bias.
Or in another instant, I remember Carl Froch commentating on a bantamweight fight years ago and he literally had no clue who the two guys were and nobody else in the division. That's where a Bunce or Lillis can offer balance and give that kind of info alongside Froch.
Lennox Lewis and George Foreman were two of the greatest heavies of all time but both have some terrible takes. Foreman was notoriously contrarian on HBO, telling us something was happening that clearly wasn't.
TLDR: think a balance of all podcasting styles is good.

Carl has had some clangers like. He said Whyte would def beat Pulev cos no one’s even heard of Kubrat.

Got a huge boil in my arse crack and no way I could drive for 90 mins to get there. Was sat at home with the wife delicately applying savlon instead.
Listened to the actual pod last night and wasn't that great. Ebanie Bridges is irrelevant in boxing terms, should have had another Leeds hero alongside Warrington like Nicola Adams, Crawford Ashley or Derek Roche.

thanks for the graphic detail mate, appreciated that. Agree Crawford would've been a much better guest, given his history in the game, guess Bridges gets more views/listens, probably, maybe.

I thought the interview with Leon McKenzie on the latest GGBC podcast was a brilliant listen. Leon comes across as a great guy. Some really inspiring stuff in there.

Frampton is a very funny man, and comfortable in his own skin. The Belfast one had a great atmosphere, the Leeds one didn't as presumably the sound was recorded differently so you barely heard the crowd. Josh was pretty good, but I don't think you loosen up half as much whilst you're still a pro. Frampton and Paddy Barnes have a great chemistry, so the chat flowed really well. Josh and Ebanie was virtually two separate interviews at the same time. And however many onlyfans Bridges has, none will love her as much as she loves herself.

I use an app called Castbox on my Samsung phone, once you've got it can search for decent podcasts to follow and they will auto download when new episodes come out.

Is Froch on Fighting no longer available as a podcast? I see it’s on a YouTube channel but you can’t listen to that on your phone easily.

Got to agree. Although I'd say he "can be great". He has far too many biases to be great...

I started listening to it recently. It’s good but I’ve no idea who he is. Is he an amateur coach?
