GARCIA MISSES WEIGHT BY 3.2LBS ‼️

Ryan Garcia has weighed in at 143.2lbs, 3.2lbs over the 140lbs limit, ahead of his WBC world super-lightweight title fight against Devin Haney tomorrow night.

The title will now NOT be on the line for Garcia with teams now negotiating what to do next.

Do you think the fight should go ahead? 🤔

Off his trolley. In other news, read he is on his 3rd marriage at 25 and has a porn star up the duff. Has almost no chance against Haney in my opinion.

So a lack of discipline cost him 1.5-1.75 million and any chance of a title.
And I'm guessing the fight ain't even gonna be competitive now.

I feel sorry for Garcia. Not sure he should have been allowed to take this fight, at this point in time.

I think Haney will win at a canter. I also thought Haney was very lucky to get the decision against Lomachenko.

Good enough for him, I'm glad to see Haney adequately compensated

Same, there should be financial punishment for every title fight- as well as not being eligible for belts.

On the one hand yes, but on the other is he of sound mind at present?

Or is it a ruse and he has a game plan. Hard to know, but his behaviour in the build up has made me feel uncomfortable.

Look at the hollowed out Devin Haney at the weigh in - that’s a guy who’s coming in as a light middle tomorrow night

Jesus wept. Garcia weighed in 3.2lbs overweight but downed a drink and had shoes and tracksuit bottoms on. So probably 1.5-2lbs less had he stripped to his underwear and not downed a drink like most people do when they get on the scales.

The beer may have been a stunt as the bottle may have been empty. I remember someone else doing similar with a coke can, that other American twat who was hugely talented but a lazy bellend. Completely forgotten his name. (edit - Adrien Broner.)

Regardless of that, he did have shoes, socks and tracksuit bottoms on.

It was just a "ceremonial weigh in". For the fans and the cameras, like the UFC do. The actual weigh in was hours earlier

Garcia played the same role, to a lesser degree, against Tank.
Haney is devoid of any charisma or appeal, so I guess Garcia is needing to play the mentally unstable role that much more to push this contest.

Garcia is a more marketable Rolly Romero. Very good - but a level down from the elites.
I not too sure Haney stops Garcia. Garcia wins first 2-3 rnds but then runs out of ideas and Haney takes over without too much difficulty.

Garcia looks to be off his mash on ecstacy pipe.

This will not end well for him. A young man caught in the wagon wheel of the social media age, where blind pursuit of the greenback comes at the expense of his wellbeing.

Someone with a heart should have pulled this shatshow weeks ago and got the young lad the help that he clearly needs.

Some of his antics may be trolling, but I see a guy hurting badly and in desperate need of a someone with the minerals to pull him off the train before it's too late.

If I was a religious man I'd pray for him, instead I'll tune in and watch him unravel in the spotlight like everyone else. What a world we live in.

I've kept my power dry on this one because something told me that this fight would be cancelled, but as it is looking increasingly like it's going ahead - I'm going with Haney by UD.

Is this weight miss money all
A marketing pls? Garcia with a beer in jeans… and not Looking drawn out at all.

2 lb for the beer and jeans. Another 1.2 to cut to make weight… feel he could of made it easy…

Very weird build up. No
Idea what the fornicate is going on. But I have always semi fancies Garcia Va Haney stylistically. But fornicate if Garcia is acting send him to Hollywood… if he isn’t send him to an institution…

Haney is just boring inside & outside the ring.
Even his father feels the need to help Dev selling a fight.

If only Haney had Garcia's appeal - or Garcia had Haneys skills.

Garcia had a psych assessment earlier this week and passed with no concerns. He is just a very odd kid doing what he thinks is best to sell the fight and promote himself to his social media

I’d like to see Ryan do it, if only because he’s a big underdog. I think he’s got genuine fight ending power though, I’m pretty sure we’ve seen DH hurt before, so I don’t think he’s got a chin like tank has

Long shot but Garcias big chance has to be catch him early, and change the course of fight that way
