Billy Nelson saying Crocker's good to go, ordinarily I'd think no chance but Riyad card, pressure to find a credible opponent, fingers crossed
Hope he gets the gig.

Reading that Smith has pulled out.
I think you could see from the recent face off he was heavy.

Does anyone know if it is it getting rearranged or cancelled?
I believe they want to get a replacement for the card.
Maybe the fight will get re-arranged ..
But don’t see it
thanks Ruthless

The only way I see Smith pulling out for the money on offer if he was well over the weight

Yeah, but he got it off, I reckon if he could get close he would take the fight for the payday

I think so too as he's near the end careerwise.
The only person I remember who said no to last payday was Kevin Mitchell, he had a fight coming up and realised he didn't have it anymore so pulled out even though he could have turned up and quit early on.

Not heard his name for a while, perfect excuse for a read through this classic thread

Hard to trust Liam Smith making it to fight night at this point. Ambition clearly gone and after KOing him he will come out with some excuse about training or whatever. I am a fan of him and admire what he achieved but he looks to be on his way out and this doesn't help those optics.

I can imagine it is tough to stay motivated if you started to box as a family and the family are one by one retiring or fighting less often themselves.

He's pretty good as it goes. Gone under the radar for most of his career.

It’s a great replacement. Let’s hope he’s fit - looks like he had a fight lined up a month later so must’ve been a month into camp I guess. Hope he doesn’t have to lose too much weight quickly.
I have to say, I was really looking forward to Kelly-Smith though, it was for me the best fight on the bill. And the most even.

He's always fit and the fight next month was at light middle.

Definitely. It wouldn't have been a bad match at 11st anyway away from this situation.

Very good replacement, very likely a harder fight for Josh than a possibly shot smith was
