I was rooting for Quigg cus he’s from Manchester and I never liked Frampton. Joe was chatting a lot of crap though. And the fight was a let down.

Like I said, Frampton grew on me in the later years.

Build up was good though.

The two fighters I think were and are very likeable for the most part but there were unlikeable elements to both sides. Obviously Gallagher and Hearn aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but Frampton and team banging on about A-side and how arrogant the other side were but there was a real arrogance to Frampton and McGuigan at the time because Frampton had the bigger fanbase.

The ultimate example is Arthur Cravan, who fought Jack Johnson a year after the Willard loss. Cravan was listed as the European Champion, despite never having boxed before.

johnson's career was filled with circus matchups, seems fitting

I think Hamzah Sheeraz will be a future entrant to this thread. Some people are talking like he's some unbeatable beast lol, the hype is a bit overboard. In reality he's like a poundshop Callum Smith.. He's beaten absolutely nobody so far.

He may pick up a title at middleweight before the exposing because the middleweight division is so weak, but I expect a severe exposing at some point, like Arslanbek Makhmudovs recent fights.

Frampton being just a lad from Tigers Bay who's mum works at Asda, "working class people of Belfahhhst don't like arrogance and flash Eddie" not like Frampton himself isn't a flashy vain money grubbing twat McGuigan made a dick of himself at the weigh in too which Gallagher was actually quite funny about
