Jim was the best co-commentator in the 1980s and early 90s. I think he read a fight better than most and usually saw the signs of momentum swings early.

He hated Carl Froch that's for sure. Never known a commentator spunk his pants like he did at the end of the first in the first Groves fight.

Jim Rosentahl anchored one of the recent Premier League games on Amazon. Even at 77 he was still absolutely top notch.
In the UK we put our top broadcasters out to pasture way too early, purely it seems to me so the TV companies can tick the diversity boxes by shoehorning in giggling inexperienced young women. Look at how a man like Dempsey with his deep knowledge of the sport has been sidelined on TNT to make way for a children’s tv style host.

It will be interesting when Queensbury go to Dazn what that will mean for the commentators. I'm assuming that will mean the Turki shows will not be on TNT PPV. Yes and who knows, maybe Turki will still keep the ALL PPVs operators on board even if domestically it is hard to see how TNT will keep in boxing.
