Realistically, which legendary HWs could beat a top shape version of Tyson Fury?

Emphasis on the word 'could' in the title. Could be a lot of them. Wilder could have beat Fury. Cunningham could have beta Fury. Walking could have beat Fury. McDermott could have beat Fury. Ngannou could have beat Fury. Why couldn't any random euro level guy from a few decades ago have beat him? It's more an assessment of who beats who more times out of 10.

After Ali, I think Fury is one of the most gifted hw fighters. I mean to be that big and move that well its almost unreal. People hate him bc of his herky jerky style and his mouth but he's one of a kind.

It was one of the worst big title fights I have ever seen, up there with Haye v Valuev. I've seen more aggression in an ashram.gilgamesh wrote: ↑04 Jan 2025, 12:41Fury was often standing there with his arm outstretched on the rope, as wide open as could be, and Wlad was just staring at him. There wasn't anything confusing.apollo creed wrote: ↑04 Jan 2025, 03:33I think Wlad was just gun shy and very confused by Fury's slick-awkward style. Also Wlad could not impose his size against a more bigger man like Fury. Fury is a very bad style for up-right, stiff fighters like K brothers, AJ, etc.
I'll never see that fight as some sort of great performance by Fury. It was 2 guys fighting like they were afraid to lose rather than 2 guys fighting to win. It was one of the worst fights I've ever seen.
That win is great for Fury on paper. It's a lot less impressive if you see it.

I think the only Heavyweight title fight I've watched that was worse was Chris Byrd vs Davarryl Williamson.jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑08 Jan 2025, 16:45It was one of the worst big title fights I have ever seen, up there with Haye v Valuev.
