about 15 years ago that martinez was in his prime, time flies , doesnt feel that long to me

Off the top of my head, Hearns brought him in as an opponent for like Richard Williams or Steve Roberts.

It was Williams and Stone!
Then went on to have big fights against Pavlik, Paul Williams and Chavez.
The ironic thing is that he was given a lot of the work because they thought he was beatable, but he kept on winning!

There was a decent crop of Brits around at that weight at the time and I remember thinking that Williams looked the best of the lot. I was shocked when Martinez beat him, but then he went and took him apart in the rematch. He went on the prove just how good he was though.

its been a while but i think i had it 114-113 martinez, i gave him the first 3 and last 2 and a couple between that. scoring wise i didnt have a problem with him getting it. but i think murray also had a good argument for being creditted with 2 knockdowns rather than just the one, which woulda make it a draw on my card
murray fought really well, but its not a good thing to start slow and end slow, that's a lotta rounds you can give up. i also thought sturm edged murray by a point, so while murray had it unfortunate with some close decisions i dont think he was ever robbed
i did think macklin got hosed vs sturm though

Who would you like to see turn it in?
For me:
- Derek Chisora - too many head battles and almost 40
- Usyk - now 37 and has achieved everything. Like to see him leave with his health
- Joe Joyce - has take a lot of punches, is 38. Zhang really rattled him
- Tyson Fury / Joshua - I’d like to see them fight each other then retire
- Sam Egginton - taken a lot of punches. Not sure if he’s still active
- Zhikei Zhang is 41 now would like him to get a title shot then retire this year or retire if Kabayel beats him
Any more?
Connor benn, preferably after getting McLellan'd

Just see Darren Hamilton lost in Germany at weekend a 3rd round retirement, seen the highlights Hamilton lost a point for holding , both boxers hardly landed a punch in the 2 completed round and then Hamilton went to knee at end of second round on the bell waving his right glove , looks like a hand injury and that was that.
