Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
I thought Shak got the 1st round and probs Zep the 2nd.

physically Shakur looks way more solid. I think his key shot will be covering up while zep flurries then a quick lead right shovel hook to the bread basket...
hard to not score rounds to zep with his activity... but close

Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
for zep to have any chance he has to keep the volume up, even if missing loads, and he should work the body over and over. shakur has really good head movement and the head is a smaller target. even if you dont land body shots, it is less obvious when they miss.
if he stands off he's nowhere near the skill level and has no chance
how maidana fought floyd in the first half of their first fight is a good mdoel for a less skilled pressure fighter. keep punching even if youre missing. go tons to the body. if you get the guy on the ropes dont stop working.

If either of these 2 had power they would be p4p guys... but they don't so I am not convinced they are or will be.

that's surely zep 3-1 or 4-0.... I dunno, Shakur is good but you cant expect to win rounds back foot throwing 1/5th the shots if your not a banger..

punch stats claim shakure is outlanding zep.... That's only true if they aren't counting any of zeps half lands, where he is glancing or getting half glove or half chest ext... they arnt as good as clean shots but they arnt nothing.
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
This fight is very hard to score - like Floyd vs Maidana.
I like Shak's class and defence, but you could easily prefer Zep's effort...

Shakur has never been hit to the body this frequently, which is why its a tough night at the office.
He's responded by tucking up well though.

5th and defiantly 6th Shakur starting to become more effective. clearly better skills and weapons, I just don't believe he was doing enough first third of the fight.
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
I got Shak comfortably ahead.
Zep winning a few rounds on sheer effort and getting Shak occasionally - esp. to the body.
8-3 Shak

Shakur wins via effectiveness surely... but left a bit of meat on the bone performance wise. I know he has bad hands but he could easily KO zep if he had any desire too take a bit of risk... (winning is the main thing but shakur is not the superstar he could be because he is happy just winning).
If I was going to fight Shakur I would be practicing my GGG overhand loopy downward punch... cause I feel its the only way to land clean when he goes into the rope leaning sliding shell defence. that or just dick shot him when he does that....

masterful from Shak.
Mayweatheresque defence and lovely sharp attacks too.
Not risky or agressive, but came fwd with plenty to be more than watchable.
Missed about 50 times with his end-combo raking hook tho'

I thought zep won 3 of the first 4 out of sheer effort. a 119 feels a bit wild to me. but I guess there was only 1 moment in the fight where zeps punch seemed to trouble Shakur at all.
I thought 117 would be fair, 118 or 116 would be reasonable but a stretch.

They keep just showing power punch stats... like jabs don't matter. I don't like that it feels like a Turki thing
Comms also feel a little like they are towing the line a bit with Turkis show and plans ect. but I guess he Is there employer...

2-1 Shiraz, good 3rd.

Great stuff from Shiraz !

Thought that card was class tbh. That last little combo was crazy mate.
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Sheeraz pieced him up.
Berlanga couldn't move his head like Adames.
Sheeraz looks massive though, he looks like a light heavyweight. How is this man fighting at middleweight.

He's announced himself on the world stage with that. Credit to him for taking a difficult fight in his opponent's backyard - fortune favours the brave

Incredible for a guy that got lucky vs skeet to be lined up for a canelo opponent...
him getting his weight right and suddenly he is a big puzzle, freaky long, freaky strong...
Think 175 will be not too far away, he just made berlanga look tiny and berlanga is a massive 168er.

A very heavy handed no frills or spills performance. Very impressive,
Re: Round-by-Round: Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Edgar Berlanga | DAZN - 12 July 2025
Yeah found his right weight - bigger, longer and stronger than most SMWs. And got that ‘skinny power’ whip too.
Canelo will avoid him.
Real coming out party performance.
