That Times article is mental - Boxxer are claiming the guy verbally agreed to a contract with a 24 month non compete?!
They're also claiming that Sky exec Rob Selmes - the guy who buys the TV rights for Sky - was part of a conspiracy to not renew Boxxer Sky contract.
That is absolutely batshite.
If they were any good, Sky would have renewed them. The Internet has four years worth of fan comments about Boxxer being shit, plus however many clangers Boxxer dropped over those four years, Maz Majeed relationship etc.
The guy whose job it is to renew /not renew isn't committing conspiracy when he doesn't renew a product which has been subject to years of adverse fan criticism and which has been the cause of troublesome issues such as being sued over Buatsi, the Majeed relationship, running round with bags of cash etc.
Boxxer also suing The Times. Oddly this is the first sort of positive-ish piece that Times writer has done on them. And it's still a car crash.

It smacks of Shalom being out of his depth doesn’t it. I like that Wish clearly never signed the contract or clause so Boxxer are claiming her verbally did. Maybe Boxxer having the last laugh ? Shalom getting the Saudi money and shows on the BBC is a step up from SKY let alone DAZN. If you're going to do what the Saudi's do you want the biggest platforms and the biggest audiences, buried away on DAZN or on PPV is not anything like a show on BBC2 will do on a Saturday night

While the extra money won't equate with PPV money, it will mean he won't have to worry so much about shows breaking even, and may have enough to get his fighters title shots
