MC ballsed that up, should've announced the even card first then the Fawaz cards, he announced a Fawaz card, then the even card then the other Fawaz card

Unrelated to the result but the person who commented on Fawaz’s age is right. I know they say black don’t crack but Jesus Christ Fawaz could pass for a 23 year old.

Poor job from the announcer. His dour reading out ruined the moment.

I think the usual way to announce an MD is announce it’s an MD then the drawn score then say ‘over ruled by judges x and y who score xx and xx to your winner……’handsofstone wrote: ↑11 Oct 2025, 16:42 MC ballsed that up, should've announced the even card first then the Fawaz cards, he announced a Fawaz card, then the even card then the other Fawaz card

So happy for Fawaz.
Bostan needs to learn about respect, was having none of the embrace at the end.
Smith seems a bloody idiot too, always in the refs ear, sticking fingers up to Fawaz in between rounds.

So what are we saying, if Dave survives the first four rounds, the fight is his?

If it wasn't for the Fisher fights this would be considered a mismatch, regardless of how limited Makhmudov is.
Allen is nowhere near Kabayel, not even half as good.
Maybe, because of career trajectory (Mak on his way down, Allan having some sort of late resurgence) something shocking will happen.
Anyway, Makhmudov wins this for me.

I really really hope I'm wrong but (up until the Bosh rematch) every time the spotlight is on Allen he doesn't perform. It's like there's some inner demon not letting him reach his best.
Maybe he's matured enough now & is at the perfect balance of physical & mental fortitude but I just have a feeling he'll be passively stopped in about 4 rounds.
Arslanbek landing punches with Allen just covering up & not returning & the ref jumping in.
But I have been wrong before. Once. It was the evening of January 6th 2021 when I saw 10,000 people storming Washington D.C. & I said "There's no coming back from this for trump"

He seems like a really nice, humble guy as well from what I've seen.SeanBrennan wrote: ↑11 Oct 2025, 16:55https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilal_Fawaz There are loads of better articles but just google him mate he’s had a proper battle so nice to see him wingregregegg wrote: ↑11 Oct 2025, 16:43ellaborate? thats a high bar, plenty of tough lives out there...SeanBrennan wrote: ↑11 Oct 2025, 16:40 Fawaz has had a harder life than any other pro I’m pleased for him

I think Makhmudov is just another average heavyweight. He can bang but Allen has got a great chin and he’s shown a weakness to the body where Allen works well. I think he wins

Mak will have to kill him to get a decision.

Hopefully I'm wrong but I think Makhmudov stops Allen

I personaly had mak a big favortie untill watching him walk in there... looks like his joints are rusty... stiff as a board. gunna be dangerouse early but unless mak limbers up soon he will get hit clean plenty too.
