Ryan Garcia Lighter Than Mario Barrios For Welterweight Title Fight

Garcia’s weight wasn’t an issue this time.

Garcia and Mario Barrios made their WBC 147-pound title bout official Friday, as they both made weight at T-Mobile Arena. Barrios weighed 147 pounds, while Garcia stepped on the scale at 146.5 for the main event of “The Ring: High Stakes” card.

Barrios will defend his title for the third time when he faces Garcia on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena.

I think Barrios gets knocked out in this one, maybe even highlight reel KO. He should have taken a Manny Pac rematch.

I’d rather see Barrios get knocked out than lose a decision. This fight feels like a 50/50 fight because they both looked equally bad in their last outings.

But Garcia is definitely the A side. If it goes the distance, I’d be very surprised if Barrios gets the nod.

i mean garcia got his butt dropped and beaten by rolo last time so i would hardly put him far above this level. seems like it's a fight made for him to win, but then again so was rolly.
