Liddard does a lot of things well. I notice he'll switch up the amount of force on his punches. Sometimes he's just trying to make contact, and he does well at that. When he feels he has the target locked in or he's had the guy on the defensive for a while he'll unload more with the heavier artillery. Smart fighter. He'll be a tough out for a lot of guys.

It's like it's never been done before

Was there last night but later than planend so only arrived towards the end of the Sains fight.
Main driver for going was seeing Visoli and while he's got some beautiful skills and looked so composed, I ultimately felt a bit underwhelmed - really would have expected him to impose himself more on someone like Giles as the bout went on and show more spite in his work. Credit to Giles, as he never stopped trying, but there were several moments where it looked like Visoli was starting to go through the gears, only to ease off again and cruise to a comfortable win.
It's possible he's fighting to the level of his opponent and a tougher opponent will bring out the best in him, but feel he could and should have shown more last night.
As for Liddard vs Denny, credit to both men as that was a fantastic scrap. Felt the scorecards were a fair reflection of the fight (if anything, I'd have had it wider, as like keithmoon felt Liddard was consistently landing the cleaner, sharper shots), but Denny deserves so much credit for trying his best to drag Liddard into deep water.
Perfect learning fight for Liddard - would have to politely disagree with you Skanksta re. career-shortening fight. From where I was sitting, Liddard didn't ship the kind of punishment that leads to that outcome. You could clearly see him getting tired and losing some of the snap he had in the early rounds, but given his age and experience I thought he kept his composure well when he was presssure-tested and showed some lovely cute moves throughout.
The kind of bout that made me a fan of both fighters.
As a side note, love the Copperbox as a venue and even though it wasn't a sell-out, it was a great atmosphere in there. Hope we see more shows there in the near future (and that Bevan isn't on so early!).

117-111 Liddard but knew it could've been closer, I preferred his cleaner work, didn't use his jab that well but kept Denny at bay early on with the lead right, Denny had his success when getting on the inside and roughing Liddard up, it got a bit scrappy in the middle rounds but cracking finish, again Denny landing now and again with single shots but Liddard landing better and more imo, excellent 11th, he hurt Denny at start of 12th had him holding but don't think anyone picked up on it, clear but hard fought win for Liddard

Same card here. I felt like he could of made it easier for himself, but was enjoying the scrap and didn't mind taking a few extra shots because he wasn't getting hurt.

The only boxer I wanted to see on this card was Georgio Visioli.

Another utterly dominant display, however, I'm a bit concerned that they don't go burning out Visioli....2nd full route ten-rounder on the spin. Yep, he was in total control in both but it's not just the demands of going the 10 rounds but the training Georgio would have put in too.

At this level, Visioli is a very competent 12 round fighter already. Impressive for a 22 year old !

I'm really enjoying the progression and, for me, Visioli is THE stand-out prospect in British boxing.

It's always a tricky balance guiding such a precious talent as Visioli, so far so (very) good but there's no rush

I like Visioli very much but he gets careless defensively in spots.
