When I say that Luan has a chance vs Byrd then everybody thinks I am crazy or whatever. Is that so irrealistic? This kind of hatred against every boxer with a german contract is always here. He is no fornicating Ottke!!!!! I feel it when I started from the beginning on when I talked about Krasniqi. Everybody laughed about me.

On the other hand it is normal and accepted when other people pretend that Harrison will rule the division next year and seriously discuss about it??????????

Sorry, but who helps then them?????????? I am not that far away from reality? But I will now stop to criticize the hype! Harrison is a young prospect and the future of the division. Krasniqi is a overhyped overachiever with a bought title fight.

I am pretty sure he wins vs Byrd easily. he boxes the kind of style Luan likes. Easier than Brewster who has a lion´s heart and a killer punch. I don´t rate Byrd that high but that has nothing to do with hyping. But we´ll see. Maybe they´ll never fight against each other. BTW Luan won the bronze medal and was not able to box the semifinals because of an injury. In the year before he was #2 in the World Championships and only lost to Felix Savon. He has wins over both Klitschkos and Brewster. He comes out of a small gym in a litle town where the little nice german dogs come from.....Rottweil.

I hope you also tell the Harrison-hypers that they post shit.

The "german-ottke-mood" came of course never out from you, my friend. But it was there when a fighter lost in Germany, no matter how close the fight was.......

Are you going to this fight, Bubi? Worth going to if you live near, IMO, and the Color Line Arena looks nice... It's an all-heavyweight card too. :D

I dont think theres any anti German bias against Krasniqi at all. My opinion is he's a good european level heavyweight. But having seen a few of his fights I have to say he's pretty unexceptional. In the current heavyweight climate that could well be enough to get him a world title! But whats so good about him? Solid skills and respectable power.

But credit where credit is due nobody expected him to knock out Whittaker and he manged to do so - that was pretty impressive.

As for Harrison the jury is still out, but its possible he has the potential to get himself into the title picture within 12-18 months - whether he can turn that potential into performances in the ring against quality opponents remains to be seen.

But I fail to see why you have to mention Harrison every time someone mentions something negative about Krasniqi.

Krasniqi v Brewster is a good matchup, lets hope its a good fight!

The Color Line Arena is not good for boxing though the capacity is about 17.000. It´s not built like the MEN arena, where the infield is much smaller so that you have a good view in the outer seats. In the Colr Line Arena you need very good ringside tickets. But they cost 300 euros and thta´s too expensive plus fuel costs etc.. I will go the Sauerland card on October 1st (Valuev, Sprott-Vidoz, Koc, Povetkin).

Let´s see how Luan does. He has improved the last 18 months. His footwork and his jab are excellent and his punch got better and better. He also improved his mental fitness. Whitaker was a top contender in every organisation and was never floored before. 80% expected a KO win by Whitaker, even in the german forum. Brewster is tough and can also hit very hard but the longer the fight goes the better the chances are for Luan.

The Hatton-fight was at least one dimension higher. Tszyu is an all-time-great and was the ruler of the division. Such a fight is at the moment not available in Heavyweight after the retirement of Lennox Lewis. Hatton is also on the way to become the best boxer out of your country. This is rather impossible in Germany. Schmeling is a legend. A guy like Joe Louis is not existent at the moment. Luan must beat both Klitschkos and the other champs in a row to be comparable and that would be pretty hard or rather impossible. When Hatton beats guys like Mayweather or Cotto he could make it to the best boxer of the world, actually. He is in the strongest division.

I still can not get over Krasniqi dogging the 1st Saleta-fight. He was winning and he was hurting a VERY far from world class Saleta, but got tired from too high workrate, got frustrated over inability to finish Saleta and just plain out QUIT! He actually had one of the most vocal quarrel I have ever seen with his cornermen who tried to plead and/or command him to go on, but all in vain. Krasniqi didn't feel like fighting anymore - period.

Already in amateurs, he was talented, but erratic and at times downright cowardly. It was commonly whispered that Luan used to get conveniently injured EVERY time he would have met some one (like Savon) who frightened him.

As already stated, he has recently shown more heart than could have been expected and did not suffer a stage fright in big fights vs. Samil San or Whitaker. Maybe he is finally mentally ready. MAYBE...

But no matter how many good wins he puts in a row, at least I will never lose that nagging feeling that next time the going gets tough again, he will just quit...

IMO he boxed several times vs Savon. How could he then win vs both Klitschkos?

Luan was a last minute replacement for one of the KLitschkos who should fight Saleta. Luan was not prepared for a 12 rounder and run out of gas. But I pretend that without this fight he wouldn´t have gone so far. He was totally down but he came out of this crisis with a new mental strength. he was just before retiring but took the other option.

Krasniqi defended his European title vs. Saleta. I can not check back right now but I do not believe he did last-minute (nor last-week) replacement gig there. You are just apologising for something which doesn't deserve it.

I agree that it seems he has come back from it mentally stronger. I think I stated that in my original post. Even then it will always remain as a cloud of suspicion over Luan.

I only know one meeting between Krasniqi and Savon which ended as a TKO in the 2nd round. Year later Krasniqi was no longer keen to meet the Cuban thunder. AFAIK, injury was bogus. There might have been another in some international prestige tournaments, which however are mostly used to tune-up and gain experience. Rarely are the top amateurs PRIMED for these tournaments and thus results in these are a bit irrelevant.

I know Krasniqi swapped wins with Wlad Klitschko in mid-90s (when Wlad was still a baby under 20 years of age). I do not know him ever meeting Vitaliy who was already then a super-heavy while Luan fought in heavies.

Altogether I would say that you are really going over the top in trying to make Luan look like a top-tier heavyweight. That he has never been (amateur or pro) and will never be.

Against another 3rd-tier guy in Brewster (who was shutout by Clifford Etienne for heaven's sake and has looked impressive for maybe two minutes of his entire career), I would also make Krasniqi a slight favorite on home soil. But whomever wins this fight have to look darn impressive in doing it to crack the Top 5. Rather are they both low 10s to 15 guys at the moment

Luan WAS a last minute replacement. he should originally fight weeks later. no apologise, just a matter of fact.
