That answers the question about the eliminator status, but I pretty much stand by my original post.
You only have to look at what happended to the light middleweight scene some years back. Hearn and Warren had most of the control and nowhere near enough domestic clashes happened. Had they, and we'd still be talking about that time being a possible golden period for the Light middleweight division.
Seems a shame if it happens again at middle.
