Henry Armstrong's achievement stands out a great deal. The accomplishment was so far ago now that the merit of it is becoming somewhat blurry. It'll never happen again the way that he did it

In living memory (for me) I think it's Duran beating Leonard.

I'll also go with Hammerin Hank. He also held titles in 3 FULL divisions at the same time. No silly jr or super weight classes.

What makes it even more amazing is that Armstrong was often defending or going for these titles while weighing sometimes up to twelve pounds lighter than his opponent! - which is a big amount at that weight.

And he beat great champions for those titles too... Lou Ambers is probably one of the most underrated Lightweight champs... though Armstrong was robbed against him in their rematch...

More good points. He did beat great REAL champs, not like the limited pretender alphabet
titleholders of the past 25 years or so.

Yea... Lou Ambers, terrific lightweight. Barney Ross was a real cutie, easily a top fifty fighter of all time - Henry Armstrong, weighing nine pounds less, practically shut out the iron-chinned Ross all night. Even Armstrong's loss to Ambers was controversial.

Against Amber Armstrong lost 5 rounds for 'low blows'... which stinks as much as his 'draw' against Garcia for the Middleweight title...

You and me seem to agree on pretty much everything.

1. Henry armstrong 3 titles at the same time (which would be like 24 titles in 6 division today)
2. Sam langford fighting until partially or really blind
3. Walcott and moore getting better with age and kicking ass at a prehistoric age
4. Anything related to srr from beating every hof withing reach to fitting past his prime and still wining the middleweight title (and for some reason they call him incosistent damn he was a badass)
5. jcc stopping taylor withing 2 sec (yeah it was controversiall but still amazing) also sweat pea outboxing outsmarting outpsyching outworking and 89 with 82 ko chavez.
6. Joe louis 11 years 25 defenses
7. Marciano retiring undefeated with the crown.
8. willi pep taking everybody to school even after the plane crash he had (people forget that saddler fought pep after theses incidents and pep still beat him once. saddler is a top 3 featherweight and fought a worn out pep.)
9. Jimmy wilde fighting at flyweight while weighting 95 probably 17 pound lighters than his oponents and still killing them.
10. Jack johnson winning the title and defending it in early 1900 (hit me tommy hit me)

Hopkins 20 titles defenses of middlewweight title.
Benny leonards comeback of like 22 wins and 2 loses or so.
Wilfredo Benitez for wining world title at 16.

Greb's forty five wins inside one year would be second on my list, next to Armstrong's three titles.
Carlos Monzon's run must rank up there. He went unbeaten for the last eighty one fights of his career, or thirteen years, winning the middleweight title and defending it fourteen times in a talented era, beating three Hall of Fame middleweights, one Hall of Fame welterweight, defeating the heir to his throne, defending all around the world while barely being troubled and smoking twenty a day!

Ezzard Charles.
For fighting and winning way above his natural weight class, not to mention the dedication to carry on when he must have felt like packing it all in.
Henry Armstrong achieved an excellent thing in holding the 3titles at the same time, but how long did he keep them all?? its not like he dominated in all three weights...or even one of them....he did well to win the 3 for sure but what sort of connections did he have to get the chance back then 8)
Single Fight, Greatest Acheivement

The Greatest Acheivement in a single fight by a boxer would be Rocky Marciano coming out in his second fight against Ezzard Charles when he came out in round 8 with his nose hanging off...
The medic was going to stop the fight becuase of his nose hanging off and the amount of blood dripping from it, Rockys corner pleaded to let their boxer fight just 1 more round, the medic grudgingly agreed.
Charlie Goldman told Rocky,
"You're gonna have to knock him out this round Rock"...
Rocky went out, faced Charles and knocked him out that round, then and there!!!
Thats some accomplishment, firsty ti have the B***s to go back out with that much damage done to you and secondly for finishing the fight!!!

"hanging off" is a bit of an exageration. It was a very nasty and unusual cut (anyone seen one like that on the nose before or since?) but is wasn't really "hanging off".
