Boxrec says Luan was winning on all score cards at the time of the stoppage, was this a fair reflection of the fight (Maybe Bubi could shed some light on this situation)

I've not seen the fight, but I've read that there was some really dodgy refereeing in the 8th, Krasniqi was knocked down and while the ref was counting the bell went. He got to 10 with him still on the floor and then let him up and back to his corner. That should have been a KO 8. Brewster knocked him through the ropes in the 9th and he beat the count but his corner threw in the towel, he was finished so good corner work. Krasniqi was up 6 rounds to 1 after 7 rounds on my card so a good effort, Brewster hit him with a huge shot in the 8th to knock him down.

I had had Luan in front 6-1 when it came to round 8. The bomb in round 8 was damn hard. it would have killed a buffalo. The count was too long, you are right. It should have been a KO 8 or a TKO 9 because at least Thorsten Schmitz had to throw the towel when he came to the corner after the 8th round to protect Luan.

But hey, that´s Heavyweight, one big punch and you are out. he was on the road to beat IMO the 2nd best Heavyweight out there. Respect.

J, now, a Audley-Luan-fight is more possible.....

maybe brewster is turning out to be quite a decent champ he is surely on a decent run of form at present.

Despatchin golota in 1 and Luan away form home in 9 is the best form of any of the heavies out there right now in imo.

that includes old inactive bollox as well. (Vit Klit) who is turning out to be the most dissapointing yet dominant champ in history at the moment.

Imagine what Brewster could do if he was in shape!

with the big money involved in German boxing and the lack of any exciting challenge in the USA.... It could be possible to see a rematch....

Or Brewster might think he's on a roll and might even accept a Wlad fight in Germany? Depends on what Wlad and/or Don King are thinking on IBF or WBO, but I'd say WBO more likely

yes, maybe it´s a competition between K2/Sauerland and Universum for the next Brewster-fight with Brewster as the winner regarding his purse.

But I don´t think Wladi wants to fight Brewster after what he has shown. Wladis chin is weaker than Luans. IMO Wladi has been going from the beginning of the year for Byrd.

Brewster has only one option to get more money than a rematch: a fight vs Vitali.

I think Kohl and King who like each other will go for the money and a rematch in Germany.

Do you think it really warrents a rematch though? You're in a far better place to comment, having seen the fight, but even though Krasniqi was clearly winning on a round by round, that punch of Brewster's isn't going to dissapear between now and a rematch. Can you see Krasniqi finding a way to stay clear of it? He's not the slowest around but still got caught.

re. Wlad-Byrd, yes, maybe Wlad would prefer Byrd - at least he knows he won't get KO'd! But assuming King will have a large say in it, I would think he'd be far happier to put Brewster and Wlad together again

The way Luan came back after the Saleta-disaster makes me believe that he could aim a rematch. we´ll see.

It´s funny that in the end it will be DK who will choose the opponent of the young Klit..... From his sight it would be better to have a Brewster-rematch. surprise surprise

brewster loses a possible rematch, he should have lost this one if only luan did his job instead of risking so much by trading punches with brewster.. brew got lucky yesterday with that mega punch, he was pretty much finnished himself

Fair play to Brewster, seems like a top bloke. Definately the most entertaining of the heavyweight belt-holders at the minute. Although that might be a bit of a back-handed compliment...

The more I see of Brewster, the more I like him.

There was an excellent article a few months back ( BM?) and he came over as a very decent guy who is aware of his own limitations but works hard to overcome them

Danny Williams said about 2 years ago on the BBC Website that Brewester/Klitchsko's were the two guys he really "feared" from his generation of heavyweights.

just thinking, that brewster/sanders clash that was going to happen a while back would have been a corker.

Why is there any need for a rematch? Krasniqi got knocked out, yes he won a few rounds but I really don't see how that warrants a rematch and I doubt very much he will get one.
