Lamon Brewster lets his hands go, as did Vitali Klitchsko and Wlad too. Samuel Peter isn't shy of throwing the odd bomb or two, despite his technical shortcomings, if he landed one of them on Haye's chin it would be goodnight Vienna.

Admittedly there aren't many heavyweights around today with a good workrate, but there are still some fighters who throw enough shots to trouble.

I wonder how well Haye would cope with a big mauling bruiser who was able to take his shots and engage him in a physical contest.

Anyway, it's all speculation, and he's not yet achieved anything in world terms at cruiserweight yet.

if Haye puts himself at that kind of disadvantage in the future, he deserves to get stretched by heavyweight punchers. On the other hand...

...If he starts fighting cruisers with iron chins, and gets those absolutely essential rounds, he should try and feast on the smaller world class cruisers. the ones like Cunningham, Bell, Braithwaite who aren't much bigger than light heavies. I mean Haye's 199-lbs and 6' 3.

the revised cruiser limit has helped create a few mismatches. for example, I know Mormeck had too much skill/experience for Braithwaite, but that ten pound advantage allowed him to really overwhelm him.

He didn't land anything on Haye though with all the head movement.

Nice to see Haye pacing himself now yet he still gives us early KOs. :TU:

If he does ever move to Heavy and the division is still bad he could do some damage. :TU:

Haye will do some damage at heavy, but doubt his chin will hold up too long. Though I reckon his chances of getting flattened are pretty much the same at cruiser as they are at heavy: as soon as he meets a boxer who can take his shots, he'll be in trouble.

With Mormeck cleaning up the divsion, there's gonna be vacant non super ( or whatever ) titles up for grabs, so chances are looking good for DH to become a very fast world title holder.

Would like to see Haye take on Mormeck, be interesting to see if Mormeck could absorb those shots.

Mormeck and Jones are the only top cruisers with proven solid chins....
However you dont necessarily need an iron chin to beat Haye.. The Gurov fight really could have gone either way IMO.... could quite easily of been Haye flat on his back...

Shame Delaney was so out of shape when they fought..... Delaney close to his best has a great chin and could have took Haye late and really tested his fortitude

not many cruisers below world class with great chins, which is unfortunate. it doesn't do Haye that much good when guys like Rossito and Gurov - who should be extending him - are getting flattened.

guys at the top like Jones, Mormeck can take hard shots - and Cunningham looks quite tough. Bell can take a shot, or at least an recover from good shots. looks like CAT's the best bet for the moment...

Virgil 'Over The' Hill is fighting a guy called Valerie Brudov for the WBA regular title. Brudov is an unknown quantity. And there's the WBO title that Nelson has defended so well since 1999.

When Mormeck/Bell unifies, he'll be obliged to defend against Guillermo Jones and Cunningham. Both guys won eliminators in their last fights. Never know, the undisputed champ could get stripped...plus, if JMM goes up to heavy like he says he will, the division will be pretty open

That Jones is something else: a former welter and lightmiddle champ, he's now flattening world class cruisers like Davis and Braithwaite. An amazing move up through the weights...

good fighter is Jones. that fight with Braithwaite was an action classic. ppl say he deserved to beat Johnny Nelson, though that was when Nelson was going through the kidnap threat ordeal and Jones was found to have an ilegal substance in him. Jones' problem is he lacks stamina

jones didn't win world titles at welter or l/middle. he challenged Laurent Bouduani for his 154lb title but LB escaped with a lucky win and draw, apparently

Wasn't Jones involved in a bad smashup recently, heard his career was over.

don't know - i thought that was Jorge Castro, the ex WBA middle champ (and light middle / cruiser title challenger) who came out of a coma
