I AM GETTING READY FOR A FIGHT BUT IT HASNT BEEN VERIFIED.PETERBOROUGH IS A POSS BUT THERE MAYBE ANOTHER BEFORE THAT IN BRISTOL ON FEB 25.
HAD A FIGHT FOR FEB 2ND BUT DECIDED TO KNOCK BACK DUE TO MYSELF HAVING TO LOOSE TOO MUCH WEIGHT IN SHORT TIME.(MY FAULT SO ITS NOT MY TEAM THAT ARE TO FAULT ON THIS ONE).
I FELT 10LB WAS A LOT TO LOOSE AND STILL BE STRONG IN THE SPACE OF 3 WEEK SO ILL JUST HAVE TO GET ON WITH IT.

If you are fit, your medicals are all done and your manager thinks your ready to box then i'm sure its only a matter of time until you get your chance especially being based in London.
Like I said get mickey to give us a call and we will see what we can do.
I notice your from Coatbridge I know there is a stable of fighters from that town including Ricky Burns. How come you did not turn pro with them?
All the best
Jamie
i hear he actually does train at the barn in coatbrige but there is a problem with them doing his corner.

ive been hearing sinse start of the year about all his "debuts" and just think somethings not right here.
management?
training?
i believe m t gillick had a few hand problems in the last few year and hasnt fought (am or pro) for quite some time-over 3 years if im correct so i wonder how much he has left in the tank.
i recall seeing him in action a few year ago and was quite handy but it was a lot lighter than super middle, more like super feather and he cant be too young either to start out.late 20s i think.
ive been away for a while but ill try and find out more on the case from a very good friend at the barn b c.

whats the problem with them doing his corner?

the barn is tied to another manager/promoter so they cant do his corner but can still train him.dont know why he didnt go with them but there must be some reason as there are a good few shows up here with them and they supply sport network with fighters north of the border

I AM IN TRAINING AND WILL BE BACK WITH MY OLD TEAM THIS WEEK,GETTING READY FOR A POSSIBLE BOUT IN BRISTOL AT END OF FEB.FEELING GOOD AND THIS YEAR LOOKS TO BE A GOER AS IVE GOT A FEW DATES THAT ARE IN THE PIPELINE AND WHO KNOWS MAYBE 6 MONTH DOWN THE LINE DAN GUTHRIE MIGHT FANCY IT AND ILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO AGREE TO A 6 ROUNDER BUT FIRSTLY A FEW BOUTS TO GET THE RUST SHOOK OFF THEN WE PLAN ON MOVING QUICKLY IN 06.
THE NEXT 12 MONTH ARE CRUCIAL AND WILL LET ME KNOW IF I CAN GO ANYWHERE AS IVE HAD A FEW HAND PROBLEMS HOLDING ME BACK THE PAST FEW YEARS BUT HOPEFULLY THE OPS HAVE GIVEN ME A FEW YEARS YET.
I DONT PLAN ON TAKING THE EASY ROUTE,AFTER ALL ITS NOT A LONG CAREER.IF IT WORKS OUT THEN GOOD ,IF NOT THEN FAIR PLAY

MTG hasnt been at the barn due to family issues but i believe he is ticking over at 12-7 so maybe he will be ok for his upcoming bout in march.
according to him hes anxious to get in there with carey to get the cobwebs away and move forward with his team who he says is doing there job this year.

Nearest airport to Peterborough would probably be Stansted or Norwich.

WELL FIGHT FOR FEB 26TH V MATTHEW CROUCH FELL THROUGH,
FIGHT ON MAR 5TH V ALEX CAREY FELL THROUGH(SHOW CANCELLED)
HAVE BEEN TOLD I COULD BE ON IN MAR 30TH,CAFE ROYALE V TBA BUT IF NOTHING EMERGES THEN I THINK ILL FORGET ABOUT BOXING AS IVE BEEN PLAYING THE WAITING GAME TOO LONG(OVER 1 YEAR) AND IM GETTING ON(ALMOST 26) SO I CANT SEE ME CARRYING ON FOR THE REST OF MY CONTRACT(2 MORE YEAR) IN THE DARK.
ILL BE FIT AT 12-2(170LB) BY THE END OF MAR SO IF THERES ANY OFFERS OF ANY KIND THEN IM WAITING

its sad to hear,it seems you have had a bit of a rough ride!
no need to retire, why not try and get your contract back and sign with someone else or be a free agent and see what happens?
i just cant see how you can go a year with a manager and get nowhere

WELL I HAVE HAD A LOT OF "OBSTACLES" TO BE FAIR AND I WAS "FORGOT" ABOUT FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTH BY THE MANAGER WHICH PI**ED ME OFF BUT I DID SIGN THE 3 YEAR DEAL SO I GUESS ILL JUST HAVE TO LIVE WITH IT.
