I'd like to see JC knock him out. Beyer is crafty and sharp but he's starting to look little, wizened and shrivelled up
Still have to admit the best fight at 168 for Joe is Kessler. Beyer is an afterthought if Joe gets by Mikkel.viciousmaussa wrote:I'd like to see JC knock him out. Beyer is crafty and sharp but he's starting to look little, wizened and shrivelled up
Calzaghe would be quick work for Kessler.Mattyp151 wrote:Still have to admit the best fight at 168 for Joe is Kessler. Which twat is this? Someone taking the piss, surely. Kesslers supporters have been happy to support him behind their own names.OttkeCalzagheUD12 wrote:Calzaghe would be quick work for Kessler.Mattyp151 wrote:Still have to admit the best fight at 168 for Joe is Kessler. Without acclaiming Calzaghe as the saviour of boxing due to one performance, I honestly can't see anyone making quick work of him, certainly not a jab-merchant like Kessler. Although whoever created this screen name knows that as well. Which begs the question: Why am I answering?
fornicating midweek piss-ups..... not good.
I remember that the German fans were well pissed off with Beyer-Colajanni. He was booed out the ring if i recall correctly. I don't think anyone's going to buy into any more Beyer fights vs substandard opponents. Seems like he has to do something and fast or he'll risk becoming a bit of a laughing stock.Max Molyneux wrote:Noticed how Sauerland wants to stage it which means Germany!![]()
Pundit watch Beyer - Colajanni, he sucked eggs.
Sheika was already whooped by Calzaghe years ago.
You hype Kessler like Showtime hyped Lacy. Whats he done other than beat a washed up Lucas and overated Mundine who's best wins are over guys with like 6 wins and more than 10 losses except for Echols. Siaca was beaten by Mitchell twice too.
Although he would be a good fight only because he holds the WBA title and would be a little harder than Lacy.
Calzaghe tears Beyer apart if they fight.
?? Colojanni sucked; Beyer finally put an oponent who was nothing but running down and out.Max Molyneux wrote:Noticed how Sauerland wants to stage it which means Germany!![]()

And now he was whopped by Beyer.Sheika was already whooped by Calzaghe years ago.
The difference is: I have no commercial or other interested in hyping up Kessler. You hype Kessler like Showtime hyped Lacy.
Not again. We differ sharply in the assessment of Mundine. So be it, but we don't need to chew this through 200 times.Whats he done other than beat a washed up Lucas and overated Mundine who's best wins are over guys with like 6 wins and more than 10 losses except for Echols. Beyer seems to be back where he was when he stepped onto the scene.Hardhitters11 wrote:Beyer isnt close to the fighter he was and even then he was some way behind Calzaghe, Hehasnt looked particularly impressive in a while.

JOE FOE IS FIGHT SHY
By Lee Reynolds mirror.co.uk
JOE CALZAGHE'S hopes of winning a third world super-middleweight title were dashed yesterday when Markus Beyer, Germany's W B C champion, priced himself out of the fight.
Promoter allegedly had made Beyer an offer to fight WBO and IBF king Calzaghe at Cardiff's Millenium Stadium on Saturday, July 8.
But he revealed: "They wanted two million dollars (£1,150,000) plus the German TV rights and that's totally unrealistic.
"It's as good as saying that Beyer doesn't want to fight Joe - so why don't they just admit it?"
Mikkel Kessler, Denmark's unbeaten WBA champion, also appears to be fighting shy of Calzaghe after watching the Welshman's crushing points defeat of America's Jeff Lacy in Manchester 11 days a go.
Haha, Mr. Warren doesn´t know the german prices?????Chambers2 wrote:16 March 2006

Team Calzaghe doesn't want Kessler-Calzaghe to happen; so it won't.steve689 wrote:I would bet that this fight would never happen, both sides are bluffing each other and the public as well. I don't see how Beyer beats Calzaghe, Calzaghe throws way too many punches he doesn't stand and pit pat like Alberto Colejanni, Beyer is bound to look good against some of the crap he has been served up with of late. Sanavia (Blown up Middleweight who Beyer is 1-1 with) Nishizawa (who lost to Dale Westerman and dropped Beyer), Green (Who i thought won), Sheika (B level fighter) and Colejanni (where they dug him up from i do not know).
Kessler-Calzaghe has to happen, if not Calzaghe should move up and aim for Tarver at LH.

They'll offer Mikkel 900K like Lacy did, and he'll laugh at it because he's already made more for lesser fights, and then the word will go out that Kess ducked Joe, and everyone will call Frank on his shit yet again...sad, sad cycle.Chesney_Chambers wrote:Bell Endpundit wrote:Team Calzaghe doesn't want Kessler-Calzaghe to happen; so it won't.steve689 wrote:I would bet that this fight would never happen, both sides are bluffing each other and the public as well. We'll see, Franks been making some great contests over the past 9 months and now hes got the backing of ITV's money. Calzaghe is BIG business now, his Lacy performance got the country talking and has raised his profile no end. Actually they might well risk that Kessler would say yes - which is why they offered a different number the only time they answered to Kessler's calls....... 50.000$ for a unification fight. Pfft.... if that isn't ridiculous. They didn't even dare to offer 200.000 or something for fear that Kessler might actually say yes anyway.Mattyp151 wrote:They'll offer Mikkel 900K like Lacy did, and he'll laugh at it because he's already made more for lesser fights, and then the word will go out that Kess ducked Joe, and everyone will call Frank on his shit yet again...sad, sad cycle.Chesney_Chambers wrote:Bell Endpundit wrote: Team Calzaghe doesn't want Kessler-Calzaghe to happen; so it won't.
The moral of the story: one good fight (against a handselected opponent) doesn't turn a duckling into a champ...Deram wrote:Actually they might well risk that Kessler would say yes - which is why they offered a different number the only time they answered to Kessler's calls....... 50.000$ for a unification fight. Secondly .. the article in the mirror says: "Mikkel Kessler, Denmark's unbeaten WBA champion, also appears to be fighting shy of Calzaghe after watching the Welshman's crushing points defeat of America's Jeff Lacy in Manchester 11 days a go."
What? What reason did that journalist have to say that Mikkel is now fight-shy after seeing Calzaghe beat Lacy? What proff at all? Lying jack-ass. He should be prosecuted for defamation. Why do journalist think their job is "professional liar", when their profession "could" be far more glorious?
Calzaghe held the WBO-belt and made loads of defenses agasint tomatco-cans and have-beens. Probably the poorest record of all beltholders. He has never been "the champ" at 168 - this is an entriely different thing.Chambers2 wrote:1 hand selected opponent, Jeff was the one who was calling for the fight!! I remember the majority of the US saying Lacy was the champ and he was going to come to the UK to knockout Joe![]()
