"I am a living legend" said the light heavyweight, Antonio Tarver.

"I know, so am I" replied Crease.

I Wonder how much money Tarver made from Rocky VI.
I'm surprised his ego allowed him to take the fight, getting beat up by an old man doesn't look good if your a Living Legend. :D

Tarver is one of the poorest fighters to be the 'best' in his division and is lucky to have the ring belt seeing as Erdei is linear .

He now is facing a great fighter who like Roy Jones when he faught him is past it . But despite that Hopkins could still beat him , I expect Tarver to win but it'll probably be close .
if jones was "shot" then tarver was the one who "shot" him!! the last man RJJ fought before antonio was john ruiz for a HW title & altho ruiz is a scrub, nobody could keep from raving about RJJ's awesome feat---which hadnt been done for 100 years!! plus johnson, harding, r.johnson & griffin were better at the time than ANY of the fighters erdei & the other "champs" at LH have beaten!! if facing scrubs like paul murdock doesnt distract form zsolt's already sad resume' i dont know how much lower he can go to find "challengers" for his 2nd-rate wbo belt!!

I never said Erdei is better than Tarver , he's not but that doesn't change the fact that Erdei is the man who beat the man who beat the man .

And I think going up to heavyweight and then coming back down is what shot Roy Jones not antonio 'I am a living legend' Tarver .

yep, Tarver definitely shot him down

the problem for Tarver detractors like me is that the one fight where Jones looked good - the 2nd one - Tarver spanked him. Jones was pretty fast and fit for that fight. It's almost like Tarver is a leech who feeds on the careers, and the good work, that his opponents do. i.e. when someone takes the fight to him, i.e. Harding 2 and Jones 2, he spanked 'em

I have to say I'm ambivalent about Tarver. If he keeps on beating guys with more impressive, lengthy title reigns than himself then there's no way Not to give him his dues. i.e. if he added Hopkins and, say, Calzaghe to his list of scalps (a fairly big If, as Tarver has looked tired of recent)

I was a fan when he was on the way up (vs Carter, the Harding fights, Reggie and Chris Johnson), but have been a bit depressed with his title reign
