Michael Spinks was a joke as a heavyweight,

Tyson knocked out Spinks in 91 seconds of the first round.

And that includes the ten count.

Eddie Davis beat the hell out of Spinks.

They needed Larry Hazzzard (this time as a judge) to give Spinks every round.

I think saying Michael Spinks was a joke at Heavyweight is a little unfair with respect. He beat an aging Holmes the first time in a close fight and 'beat' him in the rematch a verdict I must say I didn't agree with.

As for the Tyson fight, Spinks knees were shot for that fight which robbed him of his much needed mobility. Also he froze with fear and unlike the Qawi fight we he managed to control his fear to make himself fight better in the Tyson fight the fear controlled him and he crunbled.

Anyway Spinks was no match for a peak Tyson (I not a Tyson fan).

In my opinion Spinks was a great 175lb'er but just a good World class Heavyweight.
