Amir khan charged
Well, to be honest I feel more sorry for the guy with the broken leg... Khan is turning out to be another one who is getting too much too soon... I mean records, opening his own gym, ridiculously fast cars, ...mix it all together with an 19 yearold and its the law of averages that somethings going to go wrong sooner rather than later...

Appreciate that. Mature discussion - and I guess after all it's a boxing forum not a religio-political forum.Terence wrote:Fair enough. I said my piece and don't want to bore everyone with a argument over Islam.
We both have our views, if you've read the texts and think that way then fair enough.
So.... were you surprised that Martin Power got beat? I out a fiver on the other man as he was unbeaten and tall.... stoppage wasn't great but Power was going to lose I think.
Increase the peace!
Only on the Boxrec forum woould this turn into a 3 page episode. And I mean that in a good way. fornicate me, the crime here is that Amir Khan was given control of a 3 litre Beemer. Yes, it's wrong. But how many people here, who weren't in the public eye, drove a car too powerful for them when they were teenagers? I'm fornicating glad that I wasn't in the tabloid's eye, let me put it that way.
Amir Khan is under more pressure than any of us can imagine. Am I a huge fan? No. Do I recognise that he is seriously talented? Yes. The fact that he's arrived at a time when he's expected to be an Islamic spokesman as well. I say give him some slack. Every mistake he makes is immediately in the press. Can you imagine if that happened for you at 18? It'd be horrible.
I think he's seriously talented, And I think he can go all the way. He may also get too big-headed (I don't know, I don't know him) But he has some world-class attributes.

I have to agree....Ben Keilty wrote:Religion is all a load of crap, How can educated people pray to something they cant see , These bibles etc were written thousands of years ago by morons who thought the earth was flat
Religions, as somebody mentioned earlier, were set up by the rich and powerful as a way of scaring and controlling the peasant masses.....
Treat people how you would like to be treated is my religion.....

Amir is obviously very, very wealthy. He's pro-record is not even into double figures yet, and yet has already gained riches. Obviously, he should no way have a car like a BMW M6 having just recently passed his test.
I doubt he will receive a prison term, even if Naseem Hamed was recently handed one.
Wonder what AMir is getting paid for his bouts?
Wrong Again, Nicked....Must try harder!
