What evidence do you have that Liston was 36-37? That's way off the usual 2 year diffference that Liston defenders claim, and just seems to be way off base. Do you have any proof? Perhaps a quote from another boxing "historian"?
when liston was sent to missouri state penitentiary in june 1950, the St. Louis Globe said he was twenty two. this would mean in 1964, he was around 36 years old. some of listons earlier arrest records listed him born around 1927-28

my opinion? i believe liston was probably around 34 by the time of the ali fight. but its possibly liston was even older.

Everything isn't as simple as black and white. His vision may have been impaired, but there's no way to judge how it was affected. And yes I stand by the logic that if Rocky was blind for 3 rounds then Walcott must not have had much left in that fight. Rocky's chin has little to do with it. A blind fighter against a pime ATG HW would get butchered. Especially on who moved towards his opponent. Therefore, he either wasn't blinded, or Walcott wasn't very good that night.

He may have had impaired vision. No one know for sure. But blinded. Sorry, it just doesn't add up. Kinda like Liston being 36-37 when he fought Ali.

one can see and still be blind. people are legally blind that can see. fact is marciano was blind blind, but he was experiencing huge vision problems and his eyes were burning(imagine when u get soap in ur eyes, it stings it burns, thats what happened to marciano for 3 straight rounds. he had to fight through with his eyes on fire. he kept squinting badly)

felix boccichio may have cheated, i did see him on film rubbing walcotts gloves in between round 6-7. perhaps he was rubbing shit on them.

Yeah, that would do it.

BTW, what's your opinion about 9/11? Any conspiracy there?

That's pure gold, Brocky.

So, now he wasn't blind for 3 rounds?

Good, we are making progress.

Speaking of partial blindness, you've yet to respond to my question about your man Ted and his unsubstantiated allegations...

Actually I think Brocky's on to something. In fact quite a few fights have had this type of cheating. I've read rumors from a pretty reliable source that when John L Sullivan fought Jim Corbett someone replaced the water in John L's water bottle with whiskey. Oh wait a minute. Maybe John L himslef did that....
