What time is the weigh-in?

For me Audley in no way vanquished the memories of the damage he did to boxing by knocking out Williams last time out.

That awful 'contest' the first time probably lost the sport thousands of fans.

Harrison better not think he can go back to fighting like a pussy again because he scored the one early ko against a fat shot never-was Danny Williams.

I want to see him come out and blow away Sprott too, then I'll start taking notice and he'll have gone perhaps 50% of the way torwards restoring any image he had prior the first Williams 'meeting'.

For the record, sod it yes I think he will. I reckon Harrison will come out more agressively and get rid of Sprott in 6/7.

I have no confidence in that pick though...

Tough one to call. If Sprott shows up at his best Harrison will have his hands full. I think Maybe Harrison's jab will be the difference if it goes 12. I'm picking Harrison by the odd round... but it's a 50/50 fight imo.

Harrison saved his career against Williams but that doesnt mean he is a better boxer now - What it does mean is he fought Danny Williams who has seen better days and can no longer be compared with the Danny Williams of the past - I dont think Williams has enough left to beat Gammer either - Sprott could surprise us and prove Harrison is still the same as he was before and revive his own career in a win over Harrison - My bet is everybody will go back to calling Harrison a tosser after this fight win or lose

Harrison wins this one comfortably.

Sprott is just a journeyman (Harrison isn't much better ), so someone with Harrison's so-called ambitions should beat him comfortably, but he should have beaten Danny Williams comfortably the 1st time around.

I say Harrison by TKO between rounds 5 & 8.

I dont think Sprott is quite a journeyman IMO, he beat the only man to go 12 rounds with V Klitschko.

If he takes it past the 6th, IMO he will win a late stoppage or a points verdict. Sprott needs to get in close to nullify Audley, if he stays at range and tries to fight in the middle distance, the slashing uppercuts up the middle will damage him

Aud should have too many tools. He's got size, southpaw stance, talent AND power on his side. I think he has a better idea of what he's capable of now.

Sprotts last 3 opponents have been southpaws tho, and dettweiler was 6 foot 4, so is this that big a shock?

He won Olympic gold in a proper tear-up that you would not have thought was an amateur fight, so he knows what he is capable of. He needs to actually reach the potential, and thats a bigger ask than 'can he do it'. we want to know 'will he do it'

Audley should never have had a "tear up" on his Olympic run (apart from the first round were that capable Russian got shafted). The only reason there was a "tear up" was because Audley couldn't/cannot sustain a conserted pressure and then had to throw a 20 second burst of pressure to compensate for the score his opponent was building up on a mouth opened exhausted Audley.

I got to say I agree with a lot of what nickd has said about this fight. IMO the version of Mighty Joe Young that won the super heavy ABA's could have beaten the Danny Williams the night Harrison did. And probably in a similar fashion. If he can really impress with an early stoppage of Sprotty then props to him. I just cant see Michael standing there like a punchbag though, the way Danny did.

Gonna go with Audley on points, but that 10/1 Sprott on points is well tempting... This thread will help me place my bet.

Sprott is 10/1? See my head tells me that Sprott will win, because one good performance by Audley over an under prepared Danny Williams doesn't prove himself after two such dire performances.

But somehow my sixth sense tells me that Audley will win. My sixth sense is almost always wrog, so put your money on Sprott.
