Sorry disagree there, since teaming up with Mee, Holdsworth has been afraid to have an opinion and if Mee disagrees - Holdsworth will change his mind.
His commentary on Valuev vs Chagaev was like he has never seen a fight in his life, let alone been a decent Amateur/Pro and with argueably the most extensive video collection in the UK.
Although Mario Lopez is particularly annoying, why does he do these PPV so often. He has no history in Journalism or fighting. He's a actor whose a bit of a fight fan.

Yep, Bob Mee has, in some ways, shown up Holdsworth big time. Mee has pointed out his errors, and as a result, Holdsworth is shying off saying anything, for fear of being called on it. At least that's the impression I get.
Still, I think Mee is good.

Yes but i prefer a uk team. Get Woodhall and Neily for the fight

I quite like hearing a non-UK team on occasion, and it makes sense if there's no UK fighter involved, in terms of cost. Interesting to get some other views on the fight.

Mee is excellent, I don't think he is rude in correcting Steve. The thing that has shocked me in more recent weeks though is that it is not just in the stats and facts side of things (Mee is something of an Encyclopedia) but also on the tactical/action side of things.
Holdsworth has said some absolutely outrageous things since teaming up with Mee and he did need to be brought up on. Suggesting that a 37 year old shot Roy Jones would give Valuev problems was something that Jim Neilly wouldn't have brought up.
The worst though was the Valuev fight. Holdsworth was "implying" that Chagaev wasn't doing enough, although boxing well, to win the fight... that could have been valid. Mee said he disagreed and Steve said "your right", round to Chagaev. Then he would say in one breath that Valuev must be such a hard fighter to fight, Mee would say though that he cannot handle the Chagaev charges and cannot handle Southpaw... Then Holdsworth would say "yep, I've always thought a half decent boxer would beat Valuev".

Rumour has it that Setanta wanted to poach Rawling and Duke for the Hatton fight. That's what Alan Hubbard wrote in The Independent on Sunday. That was a few weeks ago though, and anything could have happened since then. Hubbard is usually pretty accurate though. He was the first print journalist I saw that mentioned Hatton's move to Setanta.

Yes, not having a go at Mee in any way. I just think it's more a case that Holdsworth has been so used to commentating on his own, and usually on minor cards, that having someone to point out where he's gone wrong is so unusual to him. Mee has been spot-on in his interjections.

I don't think Setanta are in the position to send their boys over to do live commentary yet. They're only just beginning their boxing venture.

Without a shadow of a doubt (although Neily is fairly annoying most of the time..)

Neilly called Zab Judah and O'Neil Bell all time greats. And said of Johny Tapia, "You just want to take him home to your mummy." I can do without him.
