"...ever really had damaging KO power"...
Walford I am sure you must be watching Allen Green or a Danny Green that was from the USA??!!
Have you not watched his first 17 fights, yes some were aginst ordinary opponents but most were flush KO's and not many guys in the world can do that? Did you not watch Beyer 1, did you not watch Eric Lucas? Delisle and Murdoch may also beg to differ! Do I have to continue?
Anyone else- ask Griffin if he was on holiday when he copped those 15 jabs to the head and chest in the first round? It all started from there and as anyone with half a brain knows when someone is on song long Green looked to be from the opening minute there is little you can do to recover!

Just seen it. Looks like he was doing O.K. He just got caught by a hook in the corner and Green did a good job of finishing.

I thought Griffin was doing ok in the fight before getting caught, There is no way he came here for a holiday he is a good fighter who just couldnt recover from the left hook.
Green was ranked by ring magazine for 2 years straight as the biggest puncher in the 168 pound division. Now at 175 he has carried his power well and will beat anyone who will stand and trade with him but will still be outboxed against the elite boxers of the division.

Mate I've seen most of Green's fights and I think I've seen him stop a bloke with one punch only a couple of times. I'm not doubting he is powerful and I think he looked as strong as ever against Griffin. Lucas was not stopped with one punch, he got hit hard regularly and quit, He didn't stop Beyer... De Lisle was an accumulation of punches.
I've seen fights where Danny has stopped a guy with a wicked body shot after beating him up for 2 or 3 rounds, and I've seen him stop plenty of blokes, but I'm talking about that one punch crushing KO. Someone else was expecting it in this fight and I am saying that he doesn't do that often.
Green v Griffin

Green seems to have improved with the extra 7 pounds.

man, it is not only the punch, but the relentless pressure, i have not recently seen any boxer, who can apply that kind of pressure...and we all have a feeling he could do it all night long...and btw: wladimir klitschko has a brutal punching power and just take a look at his fights and tell me, when did he knock out a guy with one devastating blow...you ll be surprised...

I totally 100% agree and that is my point. This argument all started because marlin said he wanted to see a devestating KO and I havn't seen Danny produce that too often so I think it was an unrealistic expectation.

^I actually said that if it had to end after only three rounds I would have prefered a devastating KO rather than the, pretty soft, three KD's... I wasn't expecting it but I would have liked to see it.
