I really can't predict how this fight will go, to be honest. I'm having a real hard time imagining it in my head. If the very best version of Calzaghe shows up and his hands hold together, I'd pick him to outpoint Kessler by about 4 rounds. If he's short of his best then Kessler is like a machine and will make him pay.

Calzaghe on points, close but fairly clear

that seems to be the consensus on this thread. and if its tight well, it has to be joe. but i see problems for calzaghe here and he may be in the trenches - behind on points and on his arse - with 2 rounds remaining.

On the fence untill fight week... Not only was Lacy overated as a fighter but another critical aspect was that he seemed to crack under the pressure... the contrast of the two leading up to the fight was immense.

Surprised that hardly anyone has gone for a Calzaghe KO. I know kessler appears to be sound in chin... He has often mentioned in interviews post fight that he was hurt. Perhaps its just respectful, but he hasn't really been in with a puncher of Calzaghe's reputation.

I see this as great fight and I cant wait for it , Kessler by mid KO , an old champ has got to go sooner or later ,, and they get old in one night ,, 36 is getting to where things start to happen when the right opponent turns up , it was never going be a tv star or bika ,,, but with Kessler , the playing field just changed dramatically ,,, If Joe can win this fight its a great effort and I will definitely give hi big Kudos for beating Kessler ,,, if he can

IF Kessler should win, and the American posters claim that "pfft... so what, Kessler beat an over the hill fighter.. means nothing and Kessler is a noone".

THEN you only have yoiurself to thank Jengeorg with your emphasis on Calzaghe's age. You make it sound like in your mind Kessler could not beat Calzaghe if he was young. and if that is truely so then Kessler has little to win from this fight because he will not get much credit if he wins. Not should he.

Lacy and Joe I was talking about. Joe was laughing around, looking dead relaxed. Lacy was very aggitated walking back and fore in his dressing room looking very tense.

No but the cumulative affect could stop the fight. The ref was very brave to let Lacy go on beyond half way IMO.

Kessler will beat Calzaghe now and when

Joe chases Kessler for 6 rounds starts to catch him big and stops him between round 8/10. Bring on Hopkins if he really means it!!!!
