According to recent figures, immigrants bring 6 Billion to the UK, but cost 8 billion......that's a severe deficit.

ANd one of the problems with the NHS is that it's cligged up with health tourists not to meantion immigrants who use A and E as their local doctor....

England is the 4th most densely populated land in the world - the last thing it needs is more people.

The whole 'England needs immigration to survive' is a myth used by naive idealists.

FOr f's sake ENgland came back pretty well having been bombed the crap out of by the Germans and losing around a million young men in each of the world wars.... I think we can cope without mass immigration.

But let's not go down this path......it's a boxing forum and I can live without the facile 'bnp' 'racist' etc etc etc accusations.

91kg Stephen Simmons (SCO) bt Ousmane Diatta (SEN) RSC1

Pumped up Scot Steve Simmons (Leith Vic AAC) came out of his corner throwing hard straight scoring punches at a capable looking Senegalese opponent. An early 6:0 lead saw Diatta threaten to throw something big. Simmons got their first with a perfect short left hook which Joe Frazier would have been proud to own. The Senegalese man was left stretched on his back like a still from an American B movie. Somehow the game Diatta got to his feet at 8 but was in no condition to carry on. The referee waived the contest off just under a minute of the first round.

On going back to the corner Simmons genuinely enquired of coach Terry Edwards, “if that was ok?” Sharp Londoner Edwards replied “What took you so long?”.

A happy corner wandered off to the dressing room where they were besieged by American press who were delighted with the spectacular one punch knock-out.

Depends what figures you use. The government figures say immagrents contribute a couple of bill more than they take. Oh and the reson we came back from the world wars was immagration (we brought in West Indians then Asians to help re build. Another stat is that we need 5 million by 2020 if people are to retire at 70 years old.

Anyway can someone tell me how many brit fighters are left in the world championships.

I hope he does well. Though when I saw him down the gym he seemed a bit easy to hit..........

Englands light flyweight Darren Langley lost today whilst lightweight Frankie Gavin booked his place in the last 16 with a pts win.
He now joins Joe Murray , Bradley Saunders and David Price in the last 16.

Leave it out. If you've got kids of less than average intelligence then they're fu*ked aren't they? I mean, it's not the first wave of immigrants that are the problem (we can compete with office cleaners and fast food tenders), it's the second generation of british born of immigrants that cause the problem.

How is dim little Johnny Englander going to be able to compete with little Saheed who has been ingrained with the notion that he-must-succeed-financially-at-all-costs since he was 2 years old?

England did great today. I thought all of your fighters were better than yesterday's winners. Gavin dropped Amarov in the first round on a nice left counter and then kept his distance and kept countering with the left the rest of the way against the angry Azeri. Gavin will next fight a very good prospect indeed, Turkey's Onur Sipal, who should make a great fight.

Tony Jeffries was also solid, standing in and winning exchanges against a decent Belarussian opponent. His next opponent is an intriguing Kazakh Shynaliev, who is short but a lefty and very feisty. And Price was very impressive. He seemed slow to me, but had a huge reach advantage over a stocky Macedonian, but most impressive were the accuracy of his punching which let him build up a big lead and coast on in. He has Cammarelle next, who struggled to look good against Pulev. History says Cammarelle is too tough for Price, but I think it might be close.

It's been a nice tournament for the English. Ireland's troubles continued though as Egan lost a close one to the Croatian Sivolija, who pulled away in the fourth fighting beautifully from his back foot, including a knockdown on the counter. Paddy Barnes did advance for Ireland and looked very good but will be in trouble tomorrow against defending World Champ Zou Shiming.

I didn't think Tony Jeffries would do anything but I'm delighted to have been proved wrong!!

Very nice win for Saunders today. He looked very confident, and controlled his distance perfectly, stepping inside the long reach of the Frenchman and staying there where he couldn't get hit. He also had a cheering section, primarily made up of one young lady who yelled COME ON BRAHDLEY! about 1000 times. I thought the Brits were good at coming up with cheers? :)
