absolutely. pryce has made big improvements. looks compact and solid. he actually looks better than some of the guys who have beaten him.

Unless Piccirillo beats Forrest, which I don't see happening, then the world betls look a pretty tough nut to crack.

I've not seen the Russian who has the European title, but judging by his record he seems a bit handy.

There is no reason jamie should stay at domestic level any longer let him raise his game and box someone at a higher level it will bring the best out of him mentally and physically, he has proved himeself since 2003 at domestic level we are nearly in 2008 he is more than ready to step up unbeaten in his last 8 or so fights and nearly had expierience of 30 fights

who would everyone rather see him in with. Pryce? Or a Piccirillo/Branco type?

As has already been brought up, Vuma would have been the most progressive, exciting & purposeful fight.

Hiya lad's. Thanks for all your comments. First of all I'd just like to say that I don't think you realise how difficult Facey is to box. He is very unorthodox, fights "scared" which makes it really difficult to get your shots off, and has no rhythm so is VERY hard to read. I hadn't boxed for 5 and half months and found it difficult getting back into the grove, especially against someone as awkward as him. We knew it would be an awkward night but we we're expecting to be made mandatory for the European and needed to box because I didn't want to go straight for the European without a sharpener first(which I obviously needed). We couldn't have the Vuma fight so had to box somebody, and I'm not one for ducking people so fought Andrew. So that's why I took the fight, didn't look great but got the job done, and am MORE than confident of beating Baysangurov now that I can build from this fight, instead of starting from scratch(which usually resembles something similar to my pal Ricky! ) because of enforced lay offs due to injury! If I don't achieve what I expect to then I'll hold my hands up and say the better man won, but win or lose it'll DEFINATELY be worth watching. Hope you understand where I'm coming from lads and have answered some of your questions, and hope you'll be suppoting me when I try and conquer Europe! Take care lads, and keep up the banter. Good call on Facey fighting "scared" - good description of it. Even if Facey does get the British title one day (assume you'll vacate in the near future) I don't think he'll ever get the respect he deserve cause he looks so bad but obviously isn't. He's like an Octopus in there and with his slaps and no defense looks so beatable - but obviously given the struggle you and Bradley Pryce had with him - he isn't.

Incidently, would love you opinion on my Round by Round verdict - How tired were you at stages - I was a little bit concerned for you in the 9th I think (the Round which you KD Facey the first time) - thought you were sagging. Obviously not exactly the case, but how were you feeling at the time.

End of the day tho a win is a win, and you deserved it IMO

Enjoyable fight, good challenge by Facey, but an even better defence of his title by Moore.

Moore has taken on all comers time and again for the British title, so now it's time to move forward and that means an EBU title shot.

Pryce has already ducked Jamie, then beaten china-chinned Concepcion and big mouth Small.

He doesn't deserve another chance, he is out of Moore's league and while Jamie struggled at times on Friday (largely due to the lay-off and a good performance by Facey) he is a lot better than that.

If the Moore who boxed Walker/Jones/Lujan turns up he'll capture the Euro title and I'd certainly give him a shot against Forrest.

His defence will need to be water tight and it will largely be down to workrate, guts and passion but I'd give him a shot, definitely. Forrest is not getting any younger and if Moore can whip himself into the shape of his life he could push him hard over 12.

I was guilty of under-rating Facey.....again prior to the fight. A fully fit Facey is a very tough opponent for anyone at British or Euro level IMO, his size, style and jab must be a nightmare to come up against and look good. Pity his chin is in the air and immobile

Not the most fluent of performances from Mooresy, which is to be expected considering the lay off and the opponent, but he dug in well showing off his heart again and came through a potential banana skin in a no win fight.

Onwards and upwards, bring on the European Champ!!
