the legend is back!

I saw Clavero fight Briggs, and that was an atrocious performance by Clavero, one of the worst you could ever see. I'd like to see Mundine do something impressive now. He seems to be big box office, he was showing his potential with wins over Soliman and Green, now let's see what he's really made of.

When Calzaghe moves up, super middle is wide open. If Calzaghe vacates the WBA, Mundine will be champion outright (and a proper champ for the 1st time), and he'll surely have to fight the leading contender, no?

In the hey day of boxing in Sydney at Sydney Stadium the real followers were in the bleachers, i.e, the cheap seats. There are no cheap seats now.
Team Mundine gives away A LOT of free tickets...

As for the cheap seats they're not too bad, you could get a ticket to Mundine Soliman for $45 where as a show at my local venue goes for a minimum of $60 and you have to stand...

I still reckon Mundine should try work out a fight with Andrade. It would be a war.

I still think he should fight Jeff Lacy. Lacy is 23-1 with 17KOs, 30 years old and a former IBF Champion. He has lost only to Calzaghe on points. He is the kind of opponent Mundine should be looking at.

Yeah I actually forgot about Lacy, that would be a good fight and would give him better recognition in the States.

Mundine has a style that could be effective against Lacy or Andrade but I wouldn't say it is a lock. They are both world class operators who will keep coming forward and Mundine won't like that. Andrade in particular could walk through a truck and if he catches Mundine he could worry him...

Munidne would probably be favourite but they would be good fights against class opponents so it's not likely they'll happen... :P

I think a Mundine/Andrade fight would be like the Nievas fight times 1000. Apparently no one told Nievas that he was supposed to be KOed in the 4th like the other Argentines because he made Mundine work harder then he expected taking a lot of shots. Andrade would do the same but with such a far higher skill level and a chin made of titanium. I would love to see it but you're right, knowing Mundine there is NO way this will happen.

Mundine can fool people about his "two time world champ" talk and fighting "15th ranked contenders" because boxing popularity has declined so much in Australia most people have no idea he has never actually beaten a reigning Champion so as long as everyone keeps paying the 50 bucks to watch a sideshow he will never take the hard fights.
