Well well...Graham Houston has changed him mind at the 11th hour, going against his Box Monthly pick last month. Seems recent events have swayed his mind. Here's the link for his excellent preview.

Also noticed, significantly, that Jeff Powell of the mail was sticking by his opinion that Kessler has hurt his hand, when interviewed at the weigh in...the left or the right?

Kessler if hes fit..those snappy shots will stop Joe being able to up the workrate....Kessler knows he can win this, thats why its happening

Just hours to go before the fight and the tension for us never mind the fighters is mounting - I honestly cant see Joe knocking Kessler out but Kessler could IMO KO Joe - The rounds I think will be close and could be given either way - All this tends to give the advantage to Kessler - I know Joe will raise his game and fight the fight of his life which for me evens things up - Both fighters have a lot to lose and both believe they will win - Both fighters respect the other and know its going to be tough to get the decision - I can only see a close battle with neither one forging ahead but if Joe gets caught with a flush punch over the top, that could change everything - Only once have I seen Joe near to defeat and I hope I dont see it again tonight - Although I like Kessler both as a fighter and a man, my full support is for Joe who I have watched and supported for years - He hasnt always got the fights he wanted but this time he has and this fight is his legacy so he has to win - He already has his place in boxing history but without the blessing of many who believe his career longevity as champion has been extended by soft challenges - Beating Kessler will prove Joe is worthy of that position as Britains longest reigning champion - A contraversial decision would do Joe no good at all so a solid win has to be found from somewhere - Having his father Enzo in his corner does give Joe a massive plus, it always has done - Its Kessler v both Calzaghes, a team that will be hard to beat.

Calzaghe, by 7 - 5 at least. He may get dropped early, but I think he will land 2 to every one of Keslers for most of the fight.

Kessler will get hit with a lot of counters.

I am expecting a disctance fight, but dont be surprised if it turns into a Hgaler Hearns war, in which vase its a tossup.

Talking of tossups, anayone remember the last big unification fight labelled tossup?

maxboxing in their head to head made a very good point. i think it was gerbasi who said if kessler was one-handed, he's one of the fighters who could do well (providing it wasn't the jabbing hand).

I see a bit of Johanesson-Gomez in this. 1 guy just taking too many flush shots. Joe has great speed of hand and good speed of foot but that head is open.

Frankly I dont think Kessler has a hand injury but a particular source thinks he has - Always remember decision making is only as good as the information you get.
