I never really let nationalism get in the way of my appreciation of sporting greats. I was a fan of Diego Maradona in 1990 (too young to appreciate him in 1986), I was supporting Tyson against Lewis.

Pretty much how I feel. Don't know why i should be villified for such an opinion.

Hatton was very effective against Castillo too, for the few rounds that it lasted. He can beat Mayweather aslong as he gets those tactics perfected and his stamina improved on the Collazo/Urango fights.

This being tried for treason lark is getting very popular - Chambers 2 is having me banged up in the Tower of London and flogged for supporting Kessler rather than Froch should the two meet - In Hattons case though I support him 110%.

I'll be cheering on Ricky right to the end. I f Ricky were to defeat Floyd, he would have reached the pinnacle of his profssion in defeating the P4P best boxer in the world. It's a hard assignment though, it really is. Mayweather is an exceptional talent, with so much skill & ability. Hatton says all that is useless if you're not able to use it, which is correct, but having all the ability helps a great deal.

I think Hatton has a solid chance, despite what some might try have us believe that the bout will be a complete mismatch! I don't think it will, although you never know in boxing & I could be proved wrong!

I like both guys, but who I want to win has been in question. It's Ricky every time.

Rooting for a specific fighter has nothing to do with your country. Like who you want to like, doesn't mean you'll be disowned. I hope here in the US they don't think I'm a trader for pulling for Hatton, or having Salvador Sanchez as my all time fav

there is. the boxer are singular beings. as people have said, they have followed their careers. the styles make much more of a difference. they are not just football teams, they are individual people which different personalities. try to rise above being biased this way.

how about you try to rise above thinking you are endlessly right? you cant tell me who to cheer on or not.... styles? mayweather boxes well, fights like a pussy. based on styles, im rooting for Hatton as well.

Hes saying Mayweather is the more skilled boxer with superior skill, if Hatton wins mayweather is still more skilled its just Hatton will either outwork, out grit or outpower him.
