Well you would be supprised!
I was being sarcastic. I've been there too.
And yes, Terrence, I soaked up the culture all right. If you believe reading a book about a place is as good as going there, then I suggest you go the Killing Fields or Tuol Sleng Genocide Prison. Extremely sobering stuff.

There was a bunch of Irish lads on the same tour as me. They were all hungover and lairy with tales from their big night out the night before. They wouldn't shut up; it was the kind of talk which is designed to let everyone else hear it. Very annoying. When we got to the Killing Fields, one of them was brushing his teeth and spitting on the floor. What a prick, I thought, considering the gravity of the place we were about to enter.
When we got back on the bus, they were a bit subdued, but still talking. But the Tuol Sleng... jesus... when we got back on the bus, nobody said a word, and the silence was maintained until we broke for lunch. Nobody knew what to say. Resumed the tour after lunch, and the lads had given up and gone back to their hotel.

fornicating hate people like that, got it all over india going round being massivly dissrespectful to everyone they met and spending all there time stoned (trying to find themselves) I always got at least 20% off in resterants for being able to speak hindi and not translating what the waters said to them as they handed them there food.
