No it isnt, the holocaust was disgraceful, this is just the business of boxing, as it has always been done.
Also, tell Hobson that you are doing more harm than good with this Hatton smear campaign.
Shouldn't promoters of world champions have better things to do than have an illiterate bafoon posting this crap on an internet forum?
I have always tended to agree with you right back to when you called yourself "Hayabusa" and you were living in Walkden. You're still on the money.
Thank you Sammy, whoever you are
Walkden, eeeee them were't days

I doubt you're ploughing anything other than a blow up "man-doll", to be perfectly honest. Now that's disgraceful.

Very witty, John. Anyhow, back to the topic...
Why can't certain people just say "well done" to the Hattons. If they have managed to earn a fortune, good on 'em! Jealousy is an awful afliction.

Maybe he was a little over exposed in the build up to the fight?
Maybe a lot of people hate his "manc" persona?
Maybe people on here are a bunch of whinging old tarts?
Or maybe its a case of all 3?
He's had a great career and made a tonne of cash, well done Richard
I wish someone would teach him how to shave properly though..

Spuds pissed off because he didn't get a freebie ticket, and his own little enterprise of selling tickets on the black market was flumoxed....Well only for this time
In all seriousness, the whole ticket scenario does have a nasty whiff about it, but I guess the punters are always the one's to get shite on - Is anyone really surprised?

I know a a couple of people who got them face value from the ballot on the Hatton site so it's not completely true.

Why were so many tickets readily available to the ticket agencies or whatever you call them.
Why if Ray Hatton is being complemented in the press (The Sun) for gaining a percentage of the UK PPV rights for Ricky Hatton did he not gain more than 3,900 tickets for the fans.
How many of the 3,900 tickets allocated to Hatton went to the fans.
How many (if any) of the 3,900 tickets went to Travel Agents?
How many (if any) of the 3,900 tickets went to Team Hatton's Family, friends etc etc - if they did then the fans did not get 3,900 tickets did they?
I ask what I do as questions not and I repeat NOT accusations - I feel my questions are extremely relevant seen as so many British fight fans missed out seeing the fight live
eff me, I never thought the day would come when I feel compeled to back the feotus up. He is right, Hatton Snr kept going on about how the 'Loyal Hatton fans' would not see any tickets yet the facts are he received the lot and distributed them with a heathly mark-up on top to travel agents, hangers-on, freeloaders and touts. These are the facts. He acted like a backstreet Brussell tout and not some 'champion' of his son's fans cause.
Ray Hatton made a fotune from the tickets and couldn't care less who got them. One thngs for sure not many in the UK, if any, paid face value.
Loyal fans got stiffed only by the Hatton's no one else. They were the sole source of UK tickets. If the Hatton's cared that much why didn't they have a bigger allocation written into their contract at the outset?
Hate to say it but for once, Spud-U-did-Like is right, bang on the money!
Funny how his rose tinted glasses have become clear since Hatton screwed FA too.

Derek Williams perhaps.
Can we get back to boxing by the way rather the nuances of Spud's complex psychology?
I know Spud would prefer to, too.
Back to boxing, quite.
Was he knocked out by King or not?
Nope - read the other thread - myself and Kingy roomed together and had quite a week together - spent far too much money enjoying ourselves.
Kingy is like myself an ex squaddie - I like him despite his faults - we had the same sense of humour and as such we got on bloody well. His fist brushed my chin accidentally but contrary to reports he failed to knock me out which says a lot for his boxing abilities - it has to be said when the "accident" happened I was cursing like a silly tw*t.
Myself and Kingy flew out together and flew back together and he even invited me to Thailand but that would have got me into far too much trouble.
Anyhow back to the thread in hand ...

If you were right - there is thread after thread that could be pulled to bits how you lot - have gone off track and completely ruined reasoned boxing debate.
You and others go and f*ck yourself if you think I am going anywhere - until of course I am banned.
Its f*cking amazing how you w*nkers cling together agreeing with each other craving for acceptance and slagging Spud - crack on its all rather amusing.

Let me get this straight....
the mystery at the centre of this is why did so many well connected individuals with huge amounts of cash get tickets to one of the biggest events of the year?
doh...
how do you think Angelina and Brad get their tickets? by banging ticketmaster on redial?
As for Hattons friends and family...good luck to them, they've supported Ricky since he was a kid, they deserve to be there on his big night.

As a matter of fact it is possible for a question to contain an accusation. Yours do.
Thing is, I'm not sure that these standards that you apply to Ray Hatton are the same standards that you would apply to other people.
Would that make you a hypocrite?
Just asking.

But by virtue of replying to him, you are. Why don't some of you 5,000+ posts pricks get that? If you can't stand Spud, don't respond to his posts, don't encourage him to come back at you, and on, and on, and on again.
One thing I don't get is that why people are rounding on Spud on this particular matter. He's been flagging the Hatton ticket fiasco for weeks (however small some of you regard it) and his points have always been valid in this instance.
It didn't need Boxing Chat to acknowledge this and then suddenly be appauded for it when he thinks the majority of you are tossers anyway. Time to put some of your many thousand posts to good use, Silkov. Go on, have a go.

Nice try - I have asked questions and will continue to do so - they are not just directed at Team Hatton - my questions are directed at all involved in this promotion.
In addition my only direct question to RAY HATTON is if he had the forsight to ensure a bloody good deal for his son with regards the UK PPV deal - then why were the fans forgotten with regards to the ticket allocation??
In addition if I was so wrong - why were so many tickets available to travel agents in the UK? where did those tickets come from?
So you and others think it is alright for tickets to be sold by Golden Boy at such a price and for then those tickets to be marked up by the travel agents??
Why is that okay??
If you are skint but yet you regard Ricky Hatton as a hero - you save and have a certain amount of cash but the only way of getting a ticket is by the thousands on sale through the agents but you cannot afford one due to the mark up - you think that is okay do you?? I call it exploitation!!!

That is an extremely selfish angle to take my fellow poster!!!
There will be some who would have got loans out they cannot really afford to go the show - they would have paid enough for that let alone th b*lllocks the travel agents were charging.
I will not let this go until I find out why the Travel Agents got their hands on so many tickets - someone somewhere knows!!!
