Katsidis or Casamayor will probably soon be the WBO champ. So technically that's within Khan's abilities to beat one of those guys if he's developed properly in the next 10 months. The St Clair fight makes a Khan-Katsidis bout even more natural now, Khan will get home advantage etc and hold a WBO trinket within a year.

If he achieves this it's no worse that Juan Diaz beating Lakva Simm for the WBA.

I think Khan will do this - he has the talent, the connections, the right ppl behind him - but probably move up to light welter afterward.

Id pick Katsidis top stop Stclair within 6 rounds and would be shocked if he didnt. Id also say he would stop Khan within the same amount of time.

What I mean is, Khan-St Clair sets up a bit of an Oz/UK rivalry. Already the Brits know of Katsidis, now you ppl in Oz will have seen Khan in action, etc etc. Making Khan-Katsidis a bit of an event. And that's not even considering America, who seem to be taking on Katsidis as a Gatti-replacement and who love Olympic medallists like Khan.

Khan would find Katsidis easier to hit that St Clair, who kept a very tight guard. For instance Katsidis would take more chances, push harder and leave himself open more.

Yes, it would be hard for Khan. But if he eg beats the Euro champ Yuri Romanov (a world top 10 according the The Ring and deservedly so) he'll be on his way for a Katsidis level test especially if (or only if...) there is the WBO title on the line.
