Quite a fix, letting one's eye get ripped out. Jimmy looked like a Mike Myer's victim . . .he could've easily gone down from a left by Cooney and called it a night. But alas, the truth does seem to get in the way of crankberry's storytelling.

I always have an open mind, but gran proved his BS many times over when some of the many ridiculous assertions he's spouted on here (like when he sweared that Holmes was given many seconds to recover after the Snipes KD due to 'shady dealings' by the referee, only to have been proven otherwise by film posted here and other people who saw the fight live).

I have no problem with someone expressing differing viewpoints but the attitude and BS he spits out at fighters he personally doesn't like is just plain absurd.

Personally, I didn't enjoy Gran at first, but I've started to come around. Of course, as he well knows, his takes are hopelessly slanted, & while he's no Michael Matos with his knowledge (Who is?) I like him. I don't think he likes me, however :)

Well he places himself as the "world's ultimate authority" and as an insider he feels his knowledge trumps anyone elses. What's the point of a dialouge? It's all monolouge. Apparently he has no appreciation for objectivity....only subjectivity.

If he was open to any sort of movement in his thinking it could get interesting but he already knows 100% of what's what. About all you can do with granberry is listen and learn.

The granberry manifesto seems to be static and complete and he is willing to share. So one simply needs to read his contributions to further one's education.

Honestly, to the members here who are suckered into Gran's, "insider knowledge & untold wealth of historical understanding" get a clue. Here's a man who, driven by the extremities of hatred & bias, submits viewpoints so skewered by a dearth of objectivity they lose all credibility.

The same member who clings to Ali fights that occurred infinitely past his prime, or a close-ish battle early in his career with Doug Jones, as though they meant anything.

The same member who totally bypasses how old & shot Ali was when he faced his personal hero, Young, but then makes excuses with tears running down his eyes that Young, "threw" his fight with Cooney. Gran thinks Cooney was a fraud, & cannot bare to concede Young lost.

Go through the posts & check it out for yourself. The trend is only too clear. Duran didn't lose against his much-hated Leonard, he faked it. Young faked it. & Dempsey was down twenty-five times against Flynn.

But, hey, as long as he keeps up his pseudo-exasperated, "Clueless" facade, I guess he will always have a few fooled. To the Gran's of the world, spurning the reality of history & enslaving oneself to bias are small prices to pay for the satisfaction that comes with shooting down those he does not care for. A desperate man with a desperately implausible agenda to push.

Btw Gran, if you quit a thread when you have no response, (as has happened numerous times) that's a TKO, not a DQ loss for you.
