Anyone have the photo of 'winner' Ali falling off his stool and lying on the floor unable to rise under his own power after the 3rd Frazier fight was stopped
(when Frazier was betrayed by his own cornerman?)

Show me where I have ever disrespected Frazier as a fighter.
He was a great fighter. A pity we don't have someone at heavyweight like him now.
I just feel, having watched the fights, that Ali was a bit better.
And that makes me a nut hugger and a hater?

Yes and the broken jaw via norton pic.
I like Ali and Frazier and they both had good and bad days. If someone was here purely disrespecting Joe I would throw some pics up of Joe's excellent work.
This is just an attempt to balance granberry's defamation campaign.

Defamation tactics?
If anything the media, sportswriters and fans alike have defamed Frazier enough pushing him off to thes side as nothing more than a stepping stone for Muhammad Ali. All they see is the 1-2-0 record against Frazier, and automatically think Ali was above and beyond Frazier, that he was nothing. It's always how great Ali is, how he defeated Frazier, no wonder Smokin' Joe's been bitter for the better part of 33 years.

Religion of Ali shill buzz terms posting a photo of
Joe Frazier knocking Ali flat on his back a "defamation campaign."
Buzz apes the leftwing political operator with his slimebag "talking points."
So far on this thread we have learned
1---from Ali shill ifeelfine that Ali "knocked Frazier out"
2---and from Ali shill buzz that it is a "defamation campaign" to post a picture of Joe Frazier knocking Ali flat on his back .

Nonsense we all own our own bitterness. Joe has every reason to be proud, and he beat Ali when they were both at the top of their game...what's to have the blues about? That's braggin rights my friend. He tried twice more and came up short...so what? No shame in that.
Popularity is no measure of worth. They both are consumate pugilists.

So you are stating here and now then, that at their best or near best, Joe Frazier proved to be the better fighter over the so-called "Greatest"?

please granberry are you going to say you have some sort of "balanced outlook"? Do you like Ali? Do you have some sort of respect for him? Do you think he was any good? I think you've answered all of those questions before. NO, NO and NO.
But in case I'm wrong please feel free to update us.
Anyway you've never said a good thing about the man...so I take the other side of this argument when you show up. I'd do the same if it was Joe you were targeting.
At least be honest....For the most part I think you have been straightforward with your opinions. And I think I know your opinion when it comes to this particular fighter. Do I not?

On that night both were great, and Joe was the winner. So he was greater than the greatest that night. Henry...you don't have a quarrel with me on this. And I happen to think that Ali's getting back into the fight is remarkable. Maybe a bit more remarkable than Joe dropping Ali.
Is this heresy? Joe beats a man to death...that's what he does...when he drops you late in the fight, your'e not supposed to get up....well except for this guy and he comes back competitive! Nice work on his part.
Overall, I don't think Joe had a better career or was the better fighter. But I'm glad to have lived in an era to see both of these guys fight. Either fighter would clean up today's HW division in about 15 minutes time.

Official result of Ali-Frazier III: Ali TKO 14
There you go dingleberry. A little more significant than a knock down.
I think you all know my views about what a prime Ali would do against Frazier without a three year layoff so I won't touch on that.
As for dave... I guess that's your way of avoiding the responses you've gotten on your confused scorecard; a scorecard that a second grader could not have produced.
When it comes to Ali, some of you don't know your ass from your elbow.

Ali didn't make faces at Norton in the second fight, he was all business. What kind of condescending shit is that, anyway? You think you know how to score a fight better than I do? No one who gave Norton the early rounds in that fight and who had the 12th even is in a position to lecture me about how to score a fight. You don't automatically win points for moving forward, either. I suppose you must have had Tyson beating Lewis at the time of the knock out.
And you certainly don't give the round to the guy with the bigger muscles, which seems to be how you were scoring that fight.
I did score the fight recently. And I gave most of the closer rounds to Norton.
1- Ali
2- Ali
3- Ali
4- Ali
5- Ali
6- Norton
7- Norton
8- Even
9- Norton
10- Norton
11- Norton
12- Ali

What is going on with that 6th round? I thought that was the round Ali won?

DaveV17 wrote:I proudly posted my scorecard, that is how I scored the fight. Norton dominated. Why don't you watch the fight and score it by rounds? It would be interesting to go back and find out just how you score that fight for Ali. Maybe you give points for making faces, and holding? There is not way that Ali was in the fight if it is scored for punching and boxing.

Ha, I just noticed. Yeah, I thought it was a close round so I gave it to Norton. I'm conscious of the fact that Ali is my favorite fighter, so I wanted to give Norton the benefit of the doubt.
Maybe Norton made a face in that round and that's why dave gave it to Ali..?

I'm not upset by your card, because it is silly. No logical person could give Norton the early rounds against Ali. Norton's own trainer said Norton lost those rounds. I doubt even Norton would say he won them. No rational person could ignore the punches that Ali landed for the vast majority of the 12th. I agree that Norton came on in the last 20 or seconds of the 12th, but it certainly wasn't enough to even up the round. I love how people attack Ali for his 30 second flurries, and yet when Ali dominates a round and loses the last 20 seconds people are suddenly impacted by that? Odd.
But to answer your question; I don't take your scores seriously, and I am no more insulted by you than I am by granberry. Its like talking to someone who believes in intelligent design over evolution; I know that nothing I say will convince the person otherwise because they aren't basing their opinion on anything rational.

I should point out that I just edited the post, but the answer was already there before I edited it so I'm not sure why dave is asking the question again.
Yes, Norton cornerd Ali with 20 seconds left. No, it was not enough to even up the round.
