Lets not forget when Witter was a 3year pro on his 18th fight he was going in with Judah on 7 days notice and going the 12 rounds. Khan would get sparked by a 135lb Judah

I've said for a long time that I will be a rich man when the HYPE ODDS come in for the eventual dangerman that Khan steps in with and gets taken out by.

Hell, he even looked troubled and fragile early against the feather fisted Dane last night- and I was cursing not putting a few quid on Kristjansen as the odds of him hanging tough and stopping Khan late looked SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than 100/1. Ladbrokes offered 150/1!!!!

Edner Cherry would be the perfect fight for Khan. Is a bit limited, but plenty of power and ambition. Perfect bridge from the Earl's of this world to the Casamayor's.

Got to say I think Ednar Cherry would be ideal.

Everyone is getting caught up in the hype surrounding Amir Khan - on one hadn you have the people who state he is facing weak opposition - at first I was one of those - but his last 2 tests have been okay and Khan has done okay and in my view is coming along nicely - on the other hand you have Team Khan - they really need to wake up and smell the coffee - if they want to make some brass - then leave the boxing issues to Mr W arren or whoever promotes Khan in the future.

What really concerns me is the b*llocks Khan gets up to with all his events he attends - Oliver Harrison was right to raise the issue the other day -

Khan should live the life of a boxer - not the one of a celebrity - that can come later when he has made it!!!

Once you get to being a world champion of the more reputable belts it is a dam sight harder keeping onto the belts - my attitude is Khan is moving along okay but world titles not yet.

You look at Romanov for the European Title - I even think that fight for Khan is a very tough one.

I agree with your sentiments.

I like Khan & I believe that he can go far, but he's still learning; but thankfully, he's progressing well.

He just needs to stop being fixated with being the youngest British world champ ever: it just doesn't mean anything these days, especially when you can get a boxing world title belt by opening a box of Frosties!

Yes Earl - British class fighter, who had been ruined by Romanov and Katsidis. Ans was about 5 inches shorter than Khan. Good matchmaking

Gainer is an awful suggestion.

Did you see his fight with JMM? It was a masterclass in pacifism from the lanky yank.

'Smoke' is more like a 'puff' these days wthout big bro Roy getting him high profile matches. He is an ex feather who fights less than once a year - dont give SN any ideas!

Whilst you have a point - you and others need to think about it - to keep Khan and his team satisfied it has to be a name.

Look at the way Hatton was managed -

It will be a name but a name who is past it but a name which will satisfy the ambition of Team Khan for now -

Mr W arren is not stupid - he is the best promoter in Europe - and it pains me to write that too - but lets keep to the facts he is the number 1 for a reason regardless of what we think about him.

Khan's next opponent will be as follows:

A name

Over 33/34 years old

A relative non puncher - possibly from a lower weight.

A possible previous champion

The media will get on side

There will be a promise of a world title if Khan gets through this last test.

I will state again - politics - there is an awful lot riding on Khan - If I have Mr W arren right there is no way he will slip up now and he will find a way to appease Team Khan but at the sametime protect to a degree his considerable investment called Amir Khan!!!

Any of these two would be perfect .. both are very much work in progress, young and can hit a bit .. also both are far from unbeatable .. one has a tight defence and slow punches .. the other fast punches and loose defence .. if he can`t beat any of these two now then whats the point putting him into a world title fight.

It`ll be very interesting who will be next for Khan .. after all its to convince Fwank that Khan is capable of winning and holding onto a world title belt
