Watched the tape (or at least that sky record thing) of this- a good fight , well matched. I just wonder how far Truscott can go with his power, which does seem to be a bit limited. Hopefully it will improve. He certainly outboxed Akaba, but didn't seem to hurt him a great deal -but then, its hard to tell against a typically tough African fighter.

to be honest i was not too impressed with what i saw, truscott cannot even throw a straight right hand properly, his shoulder rotation etc is all wrong, how has a trainer not sorted this out yet, im amazed.
have a look at some of the action again, his straight right is awful...

His technique might not be the best but he makes up for it with workrate and sheer botttle!! He did great considering it was only his 11th fight!! Also the kid was no mug..

what a great result for Paul congratulations to the lad. Takes some balls to climb in with a dangerman like that after only 10 fights......crazy IMO, he should have been given another year or so for me as he'll now no doubt end up with some tough defences soon......mind you if he wasn't defending he'd be having tough nights trying to move toward the brit title....so maybe swings and roundabouts.
thought the lad showed great heart and a good attitude. Great little interview also although he didn't do his home town that many favours constantly going on that they had "nowt"!! Wouldn't go that far Paul.
Well done

A good fighter, a nice lad and he did well in only his 11th fight. He could have a difficult time defending the title though.
