You've just been arguing that fighting the likes of Urango and Collazo did nothing to prove Hatton's worth becuase they wern't legit title holders, but now you're saying Witter's record is proven because he beat guys like N'Dou, because N'Dou went on to win an extremely illigitimate title of the kind you've just dismissed Urango and Collazo for doing.

N'Dou's legitimacy as a title holder is the worst of the lot - he won it against Ben Rabah who was coming off a loss to...Urango. It doesn't matter a fig newton whether N'Dou won that title before or after fighting Witter. That title being on the line meant absolute dick.

Watch the Rabah fight and tell me Urango won that.

Witter has proven himself British - Commonweath - European and World.

N-dou may be the worst of the lot. But he beat Rabah, Rabah DID beat Urango.

NDou proved his worth against Cotto and Mitchell.

Witter is legit at World Level.

Kotelnik proven by hsi fights Wih Mbaye..

Harris proven - a loss to Maussa does not change that.

Moura beat Maussa and Moura knew to run all night against Witter.

An old KT and shot Castillo are Hatton claims.

Struggles with Maussa - Urango and Collazo show who Hatton really is.

Witter was shit the other night and he has been shit before.

Still legit!

In which case, what would you define as a legit title holder? Are you arguing that Witter was? Witter won a vacant belt against Corley, who was 3-3 going into the fight, and since gone on to lose three straight. Witter then defended against Morua - please tell me at what point he entered your 140 ratings. Morua had also previously lost to Ben Rabah, who lost to Urango, who wasn't a legit title holder.

Now I'd argue that those two fights does not make Witter a "legit" title holder. But if the subsequent win over Harris is what legitimises his title reign, then how can Maussa's capture of the WBA title be any less legit?

Personally I don't see how Witter's title could be any more "legit" than those you mention. If your saying Witter's title wasn't necessarily legit either, then fair enough, but I'd like to know at what point a title holder becomes "legit."
Witter proved himself by beating guys who went ON to win a Wold Titles.

Kotelnik was unlucky not to beat Mbaye - it was a draw.
N-dou became World Champ.
Harris was a good World Champion apart from the Freak Loss!
Moura beat Maussa but that was a gimme fight for Witter, imo.
Corley had been performing well up to the Witter fight.

You failed to mention why Corley was 3-3 and how he fought.

PBF - closest I have seen PBF to being stopped.
Cotto - Corley rocked him badly and stopped way too soon
SD against Judah.

Witters opponents post form shows Witter to be a legit fighter.

Have a look at the record of Hattons 'victims' from his 1st fight to the fight before PBF - they have done f all, because they were never up to much or past it.

Witter lost, but his path to the top shows him to be a very capable fighter, unbeaten for 8 years against decent fighters and future World Champs shows it.

FACT.

:D
In what way was Harris a good world champion? Explain what precisely was so impressive about his reign?

I'm waiting.........

Well.

He beat Diobelys Hurtado whenhe was a good fighter.

He beat Mbaye and he TRAVELLED to Germany and beat Urkalon points and once by KO!

Also, he sought a fight with PBF - did npt come off - but he wanted it.

Harris was a good champion.

Hmm, hardly the stuff of legend, decent wins, but nothing there to indicate he was a major force in the division. A belt holder with a few decent wins, nothing more. Harris was a good fighter, but nothing worth remembering.

Now now, I said a good champion not a legend! OR a major force n the division.

A Good Champion who took on anyone who wanted to fight him and travelled to Germany to win on POINTS and by KO!

Thats a Good Champion. Not someone who vacates bcause he does not value belts then goes back for the SAME belt because he now values the belt.

Harris was a good champion.

Lennox lost to Rahman and Mccall.

Just takes one punch.

He wanted more MONEY to fight Hatton becaise after all the deductions AND GREEDY MANAGEMENT and ba advice he was given early in his career, he would have made $100k befire TAX!

He did not duck Hatton, he just saw no reason to fight a big fight and get $100k before tax.

DG brings the news!

That story about Harris being screwed over money only came out later. He asked for $750,000, Warren agreed, than Harris got a cob on because Hatton was getting more.

He was not aware of what was in the 'pot' - when he became aware, he said ' I am the Champion - why is the challenger getting more than me?'

Rightly or wrongly, thats what he said.

Harris wouldn't fight Hatton in Manchester. He was adamant that it should be in Detroit where there was far less money to go around. When Hatton was filling the MEN, this was always going to kill the fight. Also, didn't Ricky get bumped down the rankings or was that the WBC, and not the WBA which Harris held? I can't remember.

Anyway, does it matter? Hatton won an IBF elim, faced the real world champ Tszyu, beat him in probably the biggest night ever for Manchester boxing, at the time the UK's fight capital. Sure, Ricky may have lost to slick guys like Sharmbah Mitchell or Judah, but he beats the strong guys and has proven that you can be a star on cable TV/PPV which until recently only heavyweights like Lewis could do.

I would rather hold the WBC.

Plus, Hatton gives em up and wins em against the weakest belt holder available.

Fact!

Hey DG, Hatton can't be Robin Hood because Robin Hood stole from the rich and gave to the poor, whereas Hatton steals from everyone and gives to himself.

What lets you down is that your posts arnt pro Witter, they are just anti Hatton You know deep inside that shrivelled prune you call a heart that Witter was not even in the same league as hatton, your jealous nature exposes you.

Now a little poetry.

DG, DG, with your anti Hatton stance
Your views are not evidence, more conjecture, hearsay, circumstance
It was good to see old Junior getting his clock cleaned
Sat there on his backside on which DG was weened
Why DG do you never critique when Witter loses poorly
bet your wearing your fave gimp mask watching junior groping Corley.

The end
