Horse,
You now publicly say once a boxer is off your list, thats it - no way back.
Pryce has just departed.
What if Pryce was to go on and win a World Title against an opponent whom you graciously accept is a "real" opponent ?
How would you justify excluding him ?
British Top 30 P4P June 2008
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2008
Pryce dropped out because a new fighter entered, I didn't "take" him out like when a fighter has retired. Pryce has already fallen out of the list before, so I have already shown a fighter can come back in that way. Perhaps, I should have worded it differently.twenty six wrote:Horse,

"A fighter can only enter the list following a win, so Lockett will not be entering the list next month unless he beats Pavlik."
So even if Lockett drops a really tight split decision (Very very unlikely i will agree) to a top 10 world pound 4 pounder then he still wouldn't make the british top 30.
Very strange rules.
And as for harrison still being included
Out for 2 1/2 years and with no licence.
I hope he comes back but i doubt it very much.

I agree with that Mr Blue, there aint many fighters in the UK who could hold a world wide P4P to a close split decision loss.tenbyblue wrote:"A fighter can only enter the list following a win, so Lockett will not be entering the list next month unless he beats Pavlik."

Lynes is still in the top thirty even though he lost a tight split decision recently, and so is Witter.... Woods is in the top 10 even though he lost a wide UD recently.
And none of these fighters, who beat these brits, are near Pavlik in the P4P stakes.
Agree on Harrison - now he has had is license suspended he shouldn't want to be in the list.... Mr Horse used that Naseem is now a pie boy as his reasoning for him not being in the reckoning (I agree BTW) - but didn't he see the recent pics of Scott? Slumped in bar. Didn't exactly look like a Featherweight.
I don't know if McCullough should be in the top 30 - but I agree he should be eligable to be considered. He is licensed to fight and wants to fight.... its just terms cannot be agreed, or opponents cannot make weight. Harrison is not eligable to fight and shouldn't be included untill he gets his license back.
Re: British Top 30 P4P June 2008
How often is that realistically going to happen though? A fighter who can't even qualify for the top 30 losing a close battle with one of the best P4P fighters in the world.tenbyblue wrote:"A fighter can only enter the list following a win, so Lockett will not be entering the list next month unless he beats Pavlik."

If it happens it will look bad for my list with him not being there, but if he is that good then he should be able to beat some half decent fighters soon afterwards and gain a place on the list.
I don't claim it is my best rule.stujones wrote:I agree with that Mr Blue, there aint many fighters in the UK who could hold a world wide P4P to a close split decision loss.

I know Harrison's presence on the list looks very questionable but he is likely to fall quite fast down the rankings now, so I don't want to take him out if he is going to fall out soon anyway.stujones wrote:Agree on Harrison - now he has had is license suspended he shouldn't want to be in the list.... I am considering pulling him out for the beginning of the next boxing season (September) if the situation doesn't improve.
