Was it Rawling who wrote that after Haye splattered Mac, he "might be well served to sign with allegedly allegedly allegedly"?

Perhaps a reference to the printed article would be helpful. I can find nowhere that John Rawling said this
How can I find a newspaper article from last March? I'm not even going to try. Whether it was Rawling or not is irrelevant - at least 3 major papers suggested it.

I'm afraid it is relevant, because it is a slight on judgement. Be careful

Is Haye making this too personal with Sports Network.
Warren is a natrual survivor and a street fighter, even the might of King could not get Warren out of business.
He has a number of the press guys on his side and it would not surprise me if Rawlings did say that.
This weekend Warren called Ian Darke a cheerleader, well he must never listen to Rawlings, he is the biggest cheerleader out there along with the rest of Setanta's team.
Back to Haye lets hope he is as clever as he thinks and his suspect chin can hold up coz it is not easy out there in the real world without protection, he is already claiming that he will fight for the HWT Title in his third fight, well unless his is the mandatory he will have to give up options on his career.
That might for him and Booth be too much too handle as they like to think they are in control of thier own destiny.
If I was Goldenboy, I would keep a close eye on these two as they are always looking to FCUK people, they have a history of it and however smooth Mr Booth comes across there is a darker side to him, putting it nicely, he cannot lay straight in bed at night.
This War is going to be interesting, lets hope Booth and Haye have deep pockets or are Setanta going to back them up until the chin gets a real test then and only then we will know if he is the new Evander Holyfield or the new Errol Christie or just a whipping boy for Warren.

Well Blade, you obviously know if you wrote it or not!
If you didn't (and if you didn't say something similar in commentating), I stand corrected that the problem exists elsewhere in the media.

Oh christ. Its this weird 'blade' fella.
Either John Rawling, or Rawlings #1 fan.
And since its difficult to believe the latter exists, it probably is Mr Charisma himself.
Everyone abandon Boxrec!!

Haye will end up looking silly if he loses and will give Warren plenty of ammunition. On the other hand, he may be putting himself under pressure to bring the best out of himself.
Will the Haye/Rhodes thing get a bit sticky? Rhodes promoted by Haye and managed by Warren? Something will have to give there, and I don't want to see a fighter without too many years in the game left, being used as a chess piece between warring factions.
Re Blade - Like you Terry I think Rawling did say something about Warren/Haye on the Setanta broadcast. (Or are we all conditioned to expect him to say that?) Looks like a case of "allegedly John Rawling."

Why dose everyone have a beef with Rawling, he's a good commontater although I wish he'd be a bit more forthright with his views on some fights, but he seems to be tentative of criticsing Warren.

Offering him Skelton was very much like trying to prevent a guy marrying Monica Belluci by turning up with Amy Winehouse as an alternative.

Haye very cocky which I like , but I not too sure about him trying to promote on his own. will he fill the o2 on his own. What will the ticket prices be? Will the fight be on at 2in morning? These questions are to be answered.

Didn't see this bit in the Sunday column.
From
www.allegedly.tv
Haye’s trainer, Adam Booth, will play a central role in Hayemaker Promotions, but the question is, is he up to it? There is also a question over his matchmaking. All of his three high profile fighters including Haye, Patrick Maxwell and Robert Lloyd Taylor, have all been knocked out earlier in their careers.
For some reason Booth and Haye say that he will never work with me again, but for the record, on March 12th after the Maccarinelli fight, Booth sent me a text to arrange a meeting as his contract with Frank Maloney had ended on that date. It said: Will be free to meet up and chat with you from Monday 24th, if you follow my meaning. Thanks again for a great promotion, and I hope the decisions we made in the run up didn’t piss you off too much. Thanks again. Adam. Hardly the ‘I don’t want anything to do with Warren’ talk that they are now spouting
It is said that Haye’s contract with Setanta will get ripped up if loses, which puts added pressure on him to remain undefeated, and pick opponents who won’t trouble him.
At the press conference to announce the deal, Booth confirmed that Haye’s next four fights will take place at the O2 Arena and the third one will be against Klitschko. That must be news to Klitschko. Unless Haye becomes the number one mandatory challenger and wins the purse bid that fight has zero chance of happening at the O2.
That shouldn't bother him though as he says he has gone into promoting for the love of the sport, and not financial reasons.
Booth said they would offer “a new deal for fighters, an alternative…blah blah” how many times have we heard that mantra before.
We'll see how long that sentiment lasts.
Setanta’s Paul Dempsey who hosted Haye’s press conference made a telling remark “David has the potential to become a British sports icon” and then added “providing he doesn’t get knocked out along the way” – that is the feeling here and generally in the trade.

What's wrong with taking a risk?
That's the reason boxing has been in a bit of a state, because promoters and fighters aren't always willing to take risks.

Allegedly Blade / John Rawling could be described by some as a c- u- n- t. Not by myself of course.
BUT, Allegedly John Rawling is a sh#t commentator hated by most people on Boxrec.

From fightnews
Former WBC heavyweight champion of the world Oleg Maskaev will start his preparation for the next fight in his Russian hometown of Saransk, an old Russian city where he was born 39 years ago. Oleg will do conditioning at Mordovia Sports Centre. No opponents, dates and venues for the bout have been mentioned yet.
Could Maskaev be a potential Haye opponent perhaps?

Sadly that is true these days. IMO you'll learn more from getting KO'd than you would knocking over a tomato can.

Booth and Haye probably know talking anti Warren over the Internet wins you guys over so easily. Why refuse to work with a guy who gave him his biggest payday?

I like the criticism from Warren that Haye is likely to fight easy touches... has he ever seen a allegedly promotion... BOBBY GUNN and PETER MANFRADO on the same bill are you kidding me!
Leave Rawling alone he's a good commentator and good for the sport as he gets boxing related articles published in national newspapers.

Haye "won over" the majority of us long before he started trash talking Fwanky(a man that is hardly well liked on here anyway)with his attitude to the sport.
Haye had to earn that payday, he was not given it by Fwank(see Maccarinelli for easy paydays...)
He will now earn far bigger pay days, promoting himself. Makes sense to me.
Why give money to a promoter, when it is you taking all the genuine risk?
Haye will have no trouble promoting himself.
If he loses, the contract gets ripped up and what then...Haye just signs for any promoter he wants to work with as they would all gladly take him...Fwanky included.
Always dis-liked promoters. Boxers do all the hard work and take all the genuine risks, yet promoters are made rich by them.
Fighters going into promotion is a good thing for the sport.
They recognise the effort needed and will look after their own.
Hopefully, Golden Boy has set the trend and in a few years, the dodgy, exploiting "businessmen" that have promoted(run) Boxing for decades and decades, will be a thing of the past.

Only thing I would say here is that it's always dangerous to burn your bridges.
You never know when you might need someone in boxing, and in a sport where there are not that many promoters, this is especially true in British boxing.
I wish Haye the best of luck, I really do, he's good for boxing, but one loss early into his heavyweight foray, and for Haye the road could well be over.
He could come to rue his comments some day. Hopefully not, let's hope he gets at least as far as challenging Klitchsko, if not further.
~Have to say though, that these comments have made me laugh.

Haye has a 5-year contract between Hayemaker Boxing and Golden Boy, so that will come in useful whatever happens. David's not out there on his own.
Also, we are going to see "British title fights or better" on his UK shows that are shown by Setanta. AND, he is going to feature Golden Boy talent on these shows. This sounds effing brilliant. I hope it works out.
Is the Setanta contract really going to "get ripped up" if Haye loses a fight? GBP CEO Schaeffer was heard saying "Wow", when he heard how much the Haye-Setanta contract was worth.

Anything that puts pessure on Sportsnetwork to produce better boxing cards is a good thing.
They are really falling behind in terms of quality and I think Warren will have to bite the bullett and start putting on more competitive action and maybe start thinking "traditional" route again, which would be great.

Earn a payday? Thought smug demanded big purses for him going off the stuff Spud and box willis mentioned.
Erm because the promoter does all the office work and hyping for you, thats why they should get alot of money too. Sometimes alot of them have been up at ungodly hours finding opponents say If someone bails out of a fight.
DLH has probably had to fight less and less because he become a promoter, boxers promoting while active can be bad for them.
