What a lot of people fail to realise these Mexican, Panamanian and Columbian journeymen on Prescotts record who we easily deride as "roadsweepers" and "cab drivers" are actually VERY tough fighters, especially as you consider they grew up in shithole countries where fighting is necessary just to survive.

Come on now. If it wasn't Ramadan and Khan had been able to eat during the day he would have taken that beast of a shot that contorted the whole bottom half of his face, and asked for more, before back flipping around the ring capoeira stylee on his way to an easy win.

Damn my spelling/grammar is terrible @ banjo

What you say is true nevertheless. Even though I said that I still put money on him. For me Ricardo Torres has ensured that any South American who has more than 80% ko record is gonna get my attention when the bookies open

Yeah, i thought moving up to welterweight would be just as bad for khan. But on another Khan topic, a poster said "the light welterweight division isn't as competetive, and khan would have more of a chance".

I just said "khan would be killed".
Khan has to move up in weight,he has to,i think Khan should jump right up to welterweight, his chin can only improve( i cant ever see khans chin ever being mistaken for Marvin Haglers though)

Khans chin was like shattered glass, thats weight draining, when your fighting the weight the legs are like jelly and the mind is weak,Khan is now a joke and thats hard to say

Its just modern boxing though isnt it,fight the scales and fight at a lower weight but Khans now in his 20s and is bigger and he is still a lightweight,to be honest i dont respect boxers that do that and Khan will not be the last to be found out, haye was pushing it and got away with it,but the effects of doing it really are life changing.

Khan will always be chinny and so will David Haye

Where was Amir Khan BORN though? :)

Very true

I mean it though Central and South Americans are tough little feckers who have never had it easy, most of them turn pro while still kids.

Still don't think Prescott is anything special he's just PROVED Khan is a chinless wonder, I kind of feel sorry for Khan but not for Fwanky. What was Fwankys reaction by the way?

Feel sorry for Amir, the kid believed in the hype around him and how was he to truly know different till he got KTFO.

As for FW. Deserves all he gets. For anyone that bought into the whole article re below about how great a promotor he is and that no fighter has been the same since leaving him. Well looks like he F*cked up royaly. Not to mention that "Rubio picked this fighter".. what a crock.

Hope Khan can fight on, but personaly feel that his first test against a true lightwieght says it all.

Classboxer, are you being serious, move to "WELTERWEIGHT" ?? ......you seen Super Featherweights put him down, now a puncher of a Lightweight KO him inside 1 min, what is a puncher going to do at 147 pounds Welterweight to him :o

Its his chin, he does not have one. Boy I'd love to see Margarito, Clottey or Cotto land a solid punch at 147 to pad up the highlight KO reels

PN, you've obviously bought into the hype that was Khan.

He's been exposed, and the majority of people on here have been predicting a knockout loss for some time. Most of us where just waiting for the step up in class to be made, and we would then be proved right.

Prescott is the first live fighter he has come up against and he was blown away in 51 seconds - That is the startling reality of it all.

Khan does have plenty of time on his side, but they can't fix that chin, and frankly it's not just his chin. He has massive flaws in a lot of his game, and inherent flaws at that.

Even all the hype of having a new trainer who was supposedly teaching Khan things he'd never seen before has proven to be a total white wash.

On a side note, Oliver Harrison must be smirking

Watched it for free on a chipped cable box!! I weren't payin £15 to watch that shit!

Khan was ko'd big time quite brutal in fact!! Bingo Bango!!!

FW's face was brilliant once Khan had recovered & walked across the ring to give the interview, FW couldn't look at him it was brilliant!!!

Khan has absolutely no chin, & in my opinion is an essential necessity to boxing!!! You don't go far if you ain't got a good chin!!

Who has Frank got now??????? Can someone enlighten me?? Who are we expected to pay to watch in te future???

On a side note i feel Khan could & should have stayed in the Am's and competed at China & medaled ..... but the £££ speaks louder. Oh well he's made his money from his PPV ........ now he can fornicate off & disappear!!!!

Khans chin would be stronger at welterweight IMO

picture this, your body is starving to death, you are hungry, this makes you tired, people think Naz retired because he was scared after losing but really Naz couldnt handle the fight with the scales Naz was a small fighter in his division mind you thats why Naz was strong, its the scales, making weight it breaks fighters

sure Khan will always be chinny, but the kid is weak and pathetic at this weight, that was pathetic,i am sure Khan can do better than that, lets be honest, Amir couldnt do much worse

I have to say I did think Khan would win but I also said a loss would end his career. I believe that, this guy has fought bums and won because his opponents were not very good. Khan Knew that and in his own words thought the fight would be one sided. Khan didnt defend well enough thinking it was an easy fight for him. Anyone who can punch has a chance and this guy could punch and did the business. To get in amongst the elite you have to be able to take a punch and we know Khan cant. End of story, end of Khans quest for a world title. FW cant do the PPVs now, thats over. Khan cant demand the outrageous money he has, thats all over too. Euro level is his mark, thats what I have said in the past and thats now Khans best hope. The big dream ended tonight with all the big money. It was rediculous talking about Khan alongside Hatton, Calzaghe, Benn, Eubanks and Lewis. Never mind the boxers of the real past like Honyghan, Buchanan, Conte etc. Yes he will make a comeback but true greatness will be out of reach. It was a very bad beating by a guy who had won against several fighters who had never won a fight. It should have been a very easy win for Khan but over confidence was his downfall. Now Like AH he is an Olympic champion with no hope of a world title unless its the WBU.

I know about Boxers being drained at the weight, he's a big lightweight, but its not like he has ever been overweight on weigh-ins, its clearly his chin. Sorry I have to disagree mate, Welterweight is crazy for Khan, it'll never fix his chin. He'll face men a lot bigger, even boiled down Light Middleweights and strenght as well as punch power will be against him. The alarm bells rang when Limond put him down, credit to Limond hes a tidy boxer but hes not a puncher and fought as a Super Featherweight. There is no way on earth Khan can live at Welterweight, you can have all the flashly skills in the world, but he cannot fix that chin, its not like he's dying at the weight in his late 20's.

Khan has never (as far as I can remember) needed two attempts to make the weight and he's never looked ill or gaunt at the weigh in... Prescott looked more gaunt.

Plus - it wasn't flash KD vs the light punching Watson 4 years ago (when Khan had no problems making the weight) - it was a hard KD with the head guard on.

He's chinny, end off... just thought he would have treated Prescott with more respect than he did Gomez.
Fair enough im not saying Amir Khan will be the next Don Curry at welterweight, but Amir will do better there,Amir looked weight drained to me,ive known this for a couple of years now

Look at the weight Amir was at at 17 in the same weight division as in 2008,kids from 17 to 21 get bigger, you do the math, weight drained fighters are chinny everyone knows that
