Ross is a w*nker.
I take your point, give the people what they want and all that. I realise increasingly that I'm not 'most people'. There's hardly a thing on BBC1 that I'm bothered about.
As for your challenge to find a superior interviewer, there is a direct analogy with British heavyweights. Even the 'good' ones are shit, if you get my drift.
'Pertinent' and 'probing' are not words I associate with Wossy though.
I disagree (not on Woss being a twat), I think there are intelligent quality interviewers in britain, its just Wossy isn't either, Woss can be somewhat amusing/chariming, but hes just full of twatishness
I know Louis Theroux is more of an investigational journalist but I think he could do a quality job. I cringe watching Wossy especially when it's clear that he hasn't done any research about the guest whatsoever.

http://channelbee.com/move/programmes/answers#1342 Worth a look at. I think we should care what these two pricks said. If they get away with that what will they say next, and it paves the way for other idiots to say and do as they please on Radio or television. The BBC must try to uphold standards, who wants to hear stuff like that on radio. Even if Brand did have it off with the granddaughter, saying so in that context is really bad stuff and not at all funny. I am all for the press shaming the pair. What I dont understand is the program was pre recorded, so why didnt the producer have it edited out, hes to blame also. I remember when the F word was first used in a live TV program by newspaper editor, Kenneth Tynan back in 1966. The BBC got into a lot of trouble over that and the newspapers were just the same then by putting it on the front page. This to me is far worse, having a crack at a highly respected ageing star of a classic comedy series, who has also been the "voice" on countless documentories. Why the BBC pay Ross all that money, beggars belief in a world where people are starving and dont have proper shelter, especially as he isnt all that funny. I hope they sack him, Brand has already resigned presumably guessing his fate. In a world where people are not showing enough respect for others, especially their elders, the BBC has a duty to make a stand and make an example of people who abuse others using their programs to do so.

You can hear the whole transcript here.
It is embarassing....so unfunny....I cringed listening to these idiots

That Russell Brand has never been funny...he just thinks talking about sex makes him really edgy.
I still can't believe the impact of this really trivial if unsavoury episode.
The person who will do the best out of this is the Granddaughter... the publicity for her 'band' or whatever.
THere is a good post on the above page about it being a PR stunt.
I think she looks quite hot. Apparently there is a [porn video out of her being rogered by a strap on.

Good Luck with it.
I lasted about 6 weeks in the cadets, I've never had a good relationship with discipline. I was fcuking awesome at press-ups after the 6 weeks though
