Well, great stuff. Thats a fight that would get not just the trade but also a wider audience going, and hopefully pay both fighters well and give them greater rocognition.

So there you have it.
Jamie's up for it, Ryan's up for it, Steve's up for it, and Dave's up for it.
Fingers crossed.

It does, but could Hayemaker / Setanta against FTM / Sky be able to sort it ?
It's all "in theory" at the moment.
I'm sure if / when Jamie gets the Euro strap, if he were to be offered a World title shot he'd by pass Rhodes.
Equally, if Rhodes were to be offered a World title shot then he'd by pass Jamie.
Now that would be a British fight to savour - two Light Middle World titlists facing off.
We can but dream at this stage.
By the way - has a date been set for Jamie's Euro fight ?
Is the warm up in Ireland still on ?

Hi 26 ,

Yes Jamie is having a 6 rounder in Ireland and we will announce his Euro date and venue next week .

If the paths run right then Sky/Setanta would have to support there fighter to win bids or make offers that no one could turn down - they cannot get in the way if things move as we all want .

Lets hope they do .

Hi Steve,
I think its great that all of a sudden there's a British potential match up that has all the ingrediants of a cracker and has already started getting the taste buds going.
You know the mutual respect that exists between the camps.
Tell Jamie to look after his tapes better - we could have done with the Vuma ones !!!!! :TU: :TU:

I never had a tape of the Vuma fight or you could have had it, it wasn't my bill. It SHOULD have been but i was ill and couldn't fight so Tommo stepped in. :TU:

Jamie,
Not a problem mate.
Make sure as soon as you can you let us all know the date for the Euro tilt.
Do the business - sure you will.

True, jamie is much easier to hit than coyle <ahem>! out of interest have you seen the macklin fight... and you still think moorsey is easy to hit?

I'd put £100 down with anyone if they fight.
Im up for that...... Ryan wins pretty easy between 6-10 rounds Moore has not fought anybody close to Ryans class :shame: .......and moore is easy to hit ;;-)
The post quoted here is moronic and entirely biased, probably from one of Ryan's pals or someone who's never been out of Yorkshire.

Vuma was a shadow of the guy that beat Thompson, but fair play to Rhodes, he looked good in spurts and I had him winning handily.

Moore is an altogether different animal, has beaten better than anything Rhodes has - Macklin, Lujan, Jones x 2 for starters - so how do you figure that Ryan has beaten better? Moore is younger, fitter, stronger and would break him down. Late TKO in my opinion.

Grant is the best guy either of them has fought, and that was a loss for Ryan......albeit not a disgraceful one.

PS I have nothing against Rhodes. Seems a decent guy and gives his opponents respect. Not a bad fighter by any means, but I rate Moore above him.

Why do you always do that Hook ?
The first post is always having a pop at Ryan not being good enough, opponent shit etc, then a follow up apology that its nothing against him.
Of course it is !
You don't rate him, never have, and that's absolutely fine because that's what boards are all about - debate and opinion.
Hopefully he keeps proving you wrong.

Where was the apology? It was my honest assessment and the obligatory..

"PS It's not because I hate the guy, it's a well-rounded opinion"

...so that morons don't get on my back about it being a personal vendetta.

Simple......now shove off :TU:

Well lets have a few of your quotes for a giggle :TU:

Rhodes is shot.
Rhodes is poor.
Rhodes is ponderous.
If Rhodes carries on he'll get hurt.
Rhodes hasn't got it anymore.
I still think he's shot - after Buchanan fight.
Rhodes peaked against Otis Grant.
I could have beaten Buchanan.
Woolcombe is fresher and fitter and will take a late decision.
Rhodes run ends here - Woolcombe fight.
Coyle piss poor.
If Rhodes fights someone decent he'll get put on his back.
Vuma is class with good power - pre fight.
Vuma is a shadow of the guy - post fight.

Post from 2007 to date.

You did post at one point that if he stepped up to British level you'd give him the props he deserved :TU:

Simple - now YOU shove off. :TU:

Why do you ask, Stu ?
Do you think that might be a stumbling block to Moore v Rhodes ?
I think Steve W's post puts that in perspective.

I have to agree with most of that!

And it's not word for word, you wouldn't be much good at my job mate you'd be done for libel!

I rated Vuma after Thompson performance, but that Vuma last week was a shadow of the guy who fought Mark, no doubt.

I've given him his props on beating Woolcombe, but he wouldn't beat Rhodes, we both know that :)

Coyle performance was good, but he made Coyle look better than he is, and I did say he was shot after the June 2006 performance because he was appalling.

Now let it go :)

He can't beat himself can he, though if he did try he'd struggle from the seventh onwards :)

I can't believe that I'm going to thake the bait, but Hook, what have you been watching. Vuma was dangerous and ambitious until the end -that he msised so often is a tribute to Ryans footwork and defense + good reflexes and conditioning to do that for 12 rounds.

The Coyle win, was probaby a bit more unfocussed, but that guy deserves all the credit in the world -he took his lumps and kept on firing back. The Woolcombe win was a good one, as he had pedigree -a very good amateur background, and british level status in the proffessional ranks. To take him apart sysimatically like that shows that Ryan is way beyond British level on his day.

I'm excited about a potential Moore -Rhodes fight.I think we all are, and I'll leave it at that.
