Yeah, Fury really is an aggressive fighter.
He was huge, but didnt plod around - he was very outgoing and pleasant, no ego.
Pascal had about 15 people with him in black Team Pascal tracksuits.

Surprised Warren didnt get Fury, especially with the PR opportunities and distinct lack of heavies to get excited about. Any news on when his debut will be.... long road for the kid starts here.

Tyson Fury was unveiled as a new signing too !
He is a huge lad.
He certainly is a lump!
Good news this as I was starting to wonder(along with a few others no doubt)what was going on with Fury.
He has a good workrate for a big 'un.

Why isn't there any talk about the fight? Pascal looks pretty quick (faster than Froch), better technically and a better defense. With his flat feet hands down Hamed copycat style Frochy is waiting to be exposed, it could be in this fight. Both fighters are prime and undefeated, interesting style match up, so I'm looking forward to it.

I haven't commented on it purely because I haven't seen enough of Pascal to comment with any authority. From what I've read I'm hoping that Froch's power will enable him to have Pascal in the later rounds, as he doesn't sound the most robust of fighters... but fully accept that may be just wishful thinking on my part.

This fight for me hinges on just a few critical issues.
The first is Carl's left sided glove down approach, with leaves him vulnerable to a right cross.
That has been exposed in the past, but only against fighters with insufficient power to make the landed right cross count.
If Carl / Robert have taken steps to eliminate this then I would be totally confident.
The other issue is Pascal's ability to absorb Carl's power. He will inevitably connect and when he does we will get answers.
Pascal could easily crumble - but what if he takes the shots ?
Not an easy fight to call this one - but I will go for a Froch win, but not without a few scary moments along the way.

Not a great deal. His neck is too wide for my likening. Oli Reed would've thrown him to the dogs.

Chris Eubank was WBA No.1 contender with Southern Area-standard fighters like Anthony Logan, Jean-Noel Camara, Johnny Melfah, Kid Milo and Hugo Corti as his best wins.
He fought Benn because he'd have to wait 6-12 months for the winner of McCallum-Kalambay II and thought Graham would beat Jackson (..), and knew he'd prob lose to Nunn too.
It's a shame Calzaghe didn't take Froch instead of Manfredo or Jones Jr. Would have been a cracker, with a cracking build-up.

I hope Froch tries to counter Pascal's wide left hook, with a right hand. Both have showoff type styles, their punches thrown for show - it seems - as much as effect. Both can look a bit too casual in there. However, given that there is something to fight for, the WBC belt, I won't be surprised to see both men more business like.
Pascal has looked off recenlty. He did look excellent against Kingsley Ikeke, though. Reckon both will take this very seriously. Not sure Pascal travels very well.

I think this is an easy job for Froch.
The size difference is quite notable for me.

The worrying thing for me is that I think Pascal will be the one racking up points. I see this fight as fairly similar to the Magee one in that Froch will be looking for a big shot while Pascal is outboxing him. I've watched Pascal a few times over the years and he has wonderful physical tools. Very fast and very accurate. Carl gets hit and drops rounds in pretty much all his fights - against guys a lot less talented than Pascal.
Froch has two great things in his favour - a solid chin and very heavy hands. He may pull off a 'Magee' late on and stop Pascal. I certainly see him having enough power to hurt Pascal. If he lands clean, Pascal will be in a world of trouble. Unfortunately, I think Pascal may have the speed, the reflexes and the straight shots to outbox Froch and stay away from those nasty uppercuts and clubbing left-hooks.
Fascinating fight

Yes that sounds a likely outcome, hopefully Froch knows this, and jumps on Pascal early and puts some doubt in his mind. If he lets Pascal get off to a blinder, he could be playing catch up all night.
The Canadian seems to travel well, winning gold over here and beating Darren Sutherland in Ireland too.

Looking at the pictures of Carl on the other thread has put my mind at ease a bit more.

Froch looks his usual confident self, infact he appears to be oozing confidence, so I think it's very unlikely he'll freeze, maybe just a few jitters in the first couple of rounds and then time to start set about getting the job done.
Above all else I think Froch will be prepared to go though anything to win this world title and that's why I'm sticking with a Froch win.
2 DAYS TO GO :!:

I`d say Froch has a punchers chance with just about anybody at s-middle .. but he can be outboxed and tends to rely on single big shots - then just pouring it on when he catches them with it ... the problem is if he doesn`t catch Pascal then I don`t see him being busy enough to outpoint him.

I've also not commented as i have seen to little of Pascal to make a sound judgement. However, i'll echo PN's comments above....... this could be the fight Froch gets exposed!
I watched a Froch interview on youtube and he said that he wont be worried if Pascal is outboxing him during the first 4 rounds or so, or something to that effect anyway, as he believes he'll catch up with him later in the fight and take him into trench warfare. Froch saying that does not fill me with confidence.
I've never been a Froch fan (not a personal dislike) just thought he was/is overated. However, i'll be supporting him 100% on Saturday. I really hope he can do it!
