What got me thinking was Amir Khan.
When a "Hater" of Amir Khan was is why he hates him, he he replies "Oh He is a cocky arrogant boxer". When asked "how?" Well the Hater will come out with the same rhetoric nonsense, such as "oh he just is" or along those lines.

I don't know why they say this, i mean i hardly ever see him on the news or the media like you see some boxers, pulling all sorts of stunts. Such as certain boxers getting into brawls in petty clubs, others getting photographed with "another women", talking about how much money they have, and what cars they have etc. etc.

The only negative thing i have seen about him is probably the car accident, but it was hardly egotistic of him, it was just him being careless

Only other time i have seen him is in local papers with him doing charity events up and down the country.

Weirdly, the the main "Haters" are the guys who are considered "Boxing Fans". Ironic if you ask me..

What with alot of the best boxers retiring now, and the new generation coming up, i have noticed nearly all of them have a band of haters, all with petty reasons. Khan is probably the only real young "established" prospect at the moment in Britain, yet he attracts more hate from British supporters than elsewhere.

Apart from the Race factor, im wondering, what other reasons are there.
Not taking a pop, but wondering how guys like Hatton can get photographed with women and can get away with his ridiculous drink habits, and Calzaghe allegedly "cheating" on his wife is brushed under the carpet by "Boxing Fans". etc. You get the picture.

Thaxton and Murray have done just as much mouthing off about Khan. The difference is the newspapers have much less interest in printing what they say than the big name in Khan. Which is natural. For accuracies sake you should probably qualify that by pointing out that neither Thaxton nor Murray has claimed to 'have battered Khan' in sparring, when it is blatantly not true. Murray and Thaxton also said they wanted Khan, but also that they wanted proper titles, they hold the British and European respectively, Khan has had the third division Commonwealth belt.

Out of three sets of flapping gums, two of gone about things the right way. Plus, Murray is actually pretty witty in a lot of what he says, that goes a long way to making people give him a pass on any talk that is produced.

Long story short, all have talked, only Murray and Thaxton will face one another, with Amir sidestepping both.

Oh, are we all still racist? I'm meeting a black mate for lunch and have to segregate the table.

You really are coming across as a bit of a twat, you make it sound like Khan getting KOed sparked street parties up and down the country with massive conga's, Gordon Brown gave us all the day off for a national celebration, when by all accounts people cheered and were happy that the myth that was Khan was exposed.

So on your theory, I cheered Willie on, laughed when Naz got floored for the first time, didn't like Lennox Or Eubanks till the end of their careers, so that makes me a racist?
