Did Barrera officially sign?
Warrén said himself at the press conference that they still had some loose ends to tie up, and that it would be done and dusted in a week - Nothing was ever mentioned or confirmed after this...
Think what you will, but there is form with Sports Network and Warrén when it comes to fights being announced and not happening.
As it goes, I think they did have the intention of making the fight because, well frankly...Barrera is finished, he's overweight, he's old and slow - Typical Khan cannon fodder.

I don't think Marco should be written off just yet, I haven't seen this one, but he has often fought unmotivated and looked poorer against easier opposition. Remember Peden, Ayalia and Tapia. Hardly terrible opposition I know, but compared to Morales, Hamed etc.
Although one has to wonder if Marco will be motivated for Khan.

I think by midday Monday Sports Network/allegedly dot TV will have made a clear announcment regarding this fight. We will be told the extent of Barrera's injury, the likleyhood of him making the fight, and the alternatives for Khan if he doesn't. We will also be told exactly where Enzo Maccarinelli stands in regards to his WBO world title challenge. After announcing the names of the undercard opponents, and giving a reasonably accurate running order. I will then sleep with my wife, who is a supermodel.

This says Barrera is going to see a specialist... worst case scenario it gets put back to weeks, no substitute

He's passed it, but i would not call him overweight, and at 34, still has some years left.
Personally feel Barrera will take him

I wonder how much it would cost to get a journeyman with nothing to lose to open up a cut on somebody? Just wondering, not alleging...

Warren said in Boxing News that Don King had signed a contract for the fight at 4am. I'm surprised they didn't protect the investment a bit more and pay Barrera some cash to avoid this farcical bout, especially considering they are so willing to stop Prescott from taking any paid work.

This will still be embarrassing put the bill back further few weeks. Get Khan another fighter then fight MAB next. It will effect the other fighters.
